This week the teapotters are off to Dodge City and the Longbranch Saloon to help Miss Kitty get her man or find someone else....to see what I'm talking about check it out here.. Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I'm late to the teaparty but I have a good reason.. See Festus is in charge of the huge banners we hang across the streets in these here parts and y'know how he is once he gets his lips wrapped around a beer bottle...well we had to get him dried out so he could tell us where the signs were. We have several b-days that need celebrating and Cowboy Pete is headed this way to give the b-day girls a great big ole Kansas welcome...We Kansans know how to celebrate...head on down to the Longbranch for some of Miss Kitty's spechul tea and you'll see what I mean..hic (wink, wink) giggle...
The bg is a page from a Kansas history coloring book that I scanned and shrunk down and lightly colored with prismas. It is actually a pic of Main St. Dodge City from the late 1800's. The banner is computer generated and Cowboy Pete is stamped, colored with prismas, cut out and popped with diminsionals. Aint he handsome.....Whooooeeeee!!

Yikes, is this ever great! Love that uncolored bg scene and placing your marlboro man on the front was nothing less than creative genius. I Love the signage over the city street. very cool card.

Now THIS is a creative card! I love the idear you had to use a coloring book for the background! And its the coolest how the color of the cowboy just pops against the background! An awesome cowboy birthday card! It works!
Psst...I know what you mean about ole Festus! Dont' tell anyone but when Miss Kittie and I were planning this shindig Festus was supposed to meet us at the airport, provide me with directions to the Long Branch, and make sure we had rooms reserved. We had to borrow some horses from some outlaws, when we got to Dodge City the outlaws told us the Long Branch was out of business (just for kicks!) and we're staying in the blacksmith's barn on beds of straw! Does that tell ya all about Festus? Snort!
So glad you came, even it it was late! At least you got a motel room!

what a stroke of genius using a scanned down picture from the coloring book, its a perfect background for your hunky cowboy, I love how you colored him and the sky in, and once Miss Kittie has made her choice of Hunk there could even be enough for everyone at that there tea party to go around for all the gals nod nod wink wink say no more

Aren't you just about the most clever thing on two legs!! What a stroke of pure ingenuity (not to mention impressive technical skills) creating that bg. I really am soooooooo impressed and WOW'd since I possess very little in the way of techno saavy!! Your focal image is just that--FOCAL--and wonderfully so. Glad you found those banners cause it just adds that perfect finishing touch. You have a run on masculine cards and I must say you have a fantastic knack with them.
