I am bringing decorated gingerbread boys. Looking forward to all the different cookies on the table because as you all know there are no calories in Christmas cookies.
Here is my recipe.
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon EACH cloves, cinn. nutmeg, ginger
1/2 cup molasses
1 t vinegar
2 eggs beaten
5 cups flour, sifted
1 teaspoon soda
Mix sugar, butter, spices, molasses and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cool to lukewarm. Add vinegar and eggs. Mix well. Add flour and soda, blending into a smooth dough. Chill. Roll out on floured board and cut into shapes.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for 10-15 minutes.
This makes such a nice dough for cutting.

Your gingerbread boy is so sweet. I love the applique and the snowflakes. Altogether such a cheery happy card.
I'm all for calorie-free cookies. Especially gingerbread!!! We used to take a train ride with Santa when my kids were little and there was a bakery where the train stopped to turn around. We would run into the bakery and they each would get a gingerbread man to have on the train for the ride back!
So glad that you shared your recipe and you joined the Cookie Walk/Tea Party today.

Oh my, gorgeous card. Sounds like your gingerbread is lovely and spicy. I don't think I've ever used vinegar in mine. Great dp and beautifully decorated gingerbread man.
