I printed the instructions for this box from the Scor-Pal site a couple of weeks ago. They got used for scratch paper in the meantime, so today was the time to try it out when I wanted to make something for the Flourishes Floral Finessechallenge. As per the title, I was inspired by lavender. I love it - will always remember the impact of whole fields of it at Senanques monastery in the south of France. One day recently when it was desperately windy, I got an intense lavender smell as I walked to the bus - it was the wind blowing some lavender in a garden so much that it was bruising the dead flowers and releasing the scent. And as a cook, I keep the essential oil handy in the kitchen as the best first aid for burns...
Bazzill card for the box base. Basic Grey Mellow for the Labels panels. The two inside panels are stamped with Big Flowers in black, Stickles on the centre flower, purple Sakura Stardust round the outline, and tiny purple gems on each dot. I drew stitching lines with a purple marker around these two panels. The two other panels are stamped with an image from Flourishes Floral Fantasy Garden, and coloured with markers. Added stitching lines around the edges of the the box on these panels, and edged the Label with the Stardust marker. There are two tiny gems on the little flowers. The tall thin side panels were stamped with images from Floral Fantasy Garden in Versamark. The top panel is edged with the Stardust pen. I added punched ash leaves sponged with silver. Popped on foam is another Flourishes flower, stamped on the Bazzill with a marker, sealed and then Glossy Accents added - you can see they're still wet in the photo. Silver Dew Drop in the centre. The Label is stuck to one half of the box lid, and the other side has a magnetic snap on it to hold the box closed.
