achromatic:
1. Refracting light without dispersing into its constituent colors: giving images practically free from extraneous colors 2. not readily colored by the usual staining agents 3. possessing no hue; being black, grey, or white: neutral 4. being without accidentals or modulation; diatonic
How my card is achromatic.
My quilled snowflake is achromatic - Def. # 3. no hue, white!
The panel under the quilled snowflake is achromatic - Def. # 2. not readily colored by the usual staining agents. I thought of white crayon resist. I drew the snowflakes with a white crayon and then brayered over the top with night of navy ink. I then used a paper towel to wipe the ink off of the resist areas. It was so fun to see the white pop through.
Big snowflake was quilled and I added some of my hot glue pearls. It is not attached to the card except by the hanging thread so it can be removed and used as an ornament.
I finished my card off by punching snowflakes and adding glamour dust glitter to the snowflakes.

wow, you are really getting the quilling aren't you? This is just lovely MariLynn and I esp. love how you made it so the lucky recipient can take the ornament off and use it as their holiday decorations...Very cool
