For the 2nd weekend in a row, I clean forgot to make a birthday card for my DD to take to another 6th birthday party - only this time, I had 1-1/2 hrs to make it instead of remembering the day before! So, out with this week's Clean and Simple cards color challenge of shades of pink, green, blue (& chocolate optional) + white or cream.
Popcorn the Bear was stamped onto Elzybells smooth white cs and coloured with a mix of Gamsol, Prismascolor pencils and acrylic paints. It's so hard to see from the photo, but my "blue" in the card is around the bear and on one of the pencils (on the rug). The other 2 pencils are green and brown. It was raining so the light outside was really terrible for photos :-(
I made up the sentiment from my Elzybells Everyday Greetings clear stamp set and drew in a couple of black dots after the word "say" with my Zig pen. I added a pink heart gem rhinestoneto Popcorn's ear.
The flowers border is from my Kelly Panacci Border set and the flowers and swirls were coloured in the same fashion and I added an ice green pearl to the centres.
I added Kindyglitz Crystalina to the sign, blanket and flower petals.
I added a line with my Scor-Pal both above and below the ribbon and above the flowers border. The ribbon was made in 2 separate elements and attached with glue dots.
Phew! Just finished in time, even if I was madly trying to dry the glitter glue with my heat gun........! Next weekend there are no birthday parties but I AM visiting the Wizard of Oz to get a brain....wish me luck! ;-)
Thanks for having a peek at my card!
