For the VLVSep05 challenge a sketch with the twist to use specialty paper.
I don't know when or why I got this package of Specialty paper but I come across it whenever I'm looking thru my stash and I always bypass it but tonight I actually went looking for it. I like it I just never felt inspired to use it.
So I had to stare at it for awhile before I decided what to do. There are five different sheets. I choose to use the embossed piece as the base for the card. When I tried to use my tape runner on the back of it to attach it to the card I discovered that it was very fibrous and instead of the tape going on the paper the paper was going onto the tape runner. Got that fixed and picked out two of the papers with gold in them and decided that meant I had to use gold embossing for the stamping. I paper pieced the balloon and cut the elements out with nesties.
The paper has a so many names on it, it says it's made by Provo Craft and in big letters it says mini Scraps. I think I got it at AC Moore.
This is the last challenge for the Verve September challenge. Wish me luck.
