You won't find any bright summer colors here today, but you will see a little basic techniques that is sometimes overlooked when stamping. The Design Team on Paper Craft Planet is focusing on Back to Basics this month and for this project, the basics I'm focusing on is using glitter - more specifically, Stickles a/k/a glitter glue. Most of us think of using Stickles in little dots, like I've added to the swirls that I stamped on the circle of acetate. But Stickles don't always need to be in dots. On each of the leaves that I stamped, I applied the Stickles by squirting a little on the tip of my finger and spreading it all over the leaves. The effect of the sparkle on the leaves adds such a nice touch to the leaves giving them a little something extra.
Stamps: Leaf Group (Stamp Oasis), Wheat Swirl (Jeanne Streiff), Fall Silhouettes (Kim Hughes - CHF)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Acetate (not really paper, but it had to go somewhere lol), Offbeat (Basic Grey - i {heart} papers) Lovely Fall patterned paper which I can't recall the manufacturer (bad blogger)
Ink: Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Coffee Bean (Vivid - Gina K Designs) Jet Black and Timber Brown - both Staz-On inks
Accessories: Stickles (Ranger - i {heart} papers, Alpine Ribbon Originals (SU!), Button (Bo Bunny Licorice), Circle Nestabilities.

that card's an eye catcher - never thought of using stickles that way - thanks for a new idea - love the color (maybe because Fall's my favorite time of year)

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
