I made this card for my Mom's birthday next week. I was instantly inspired by the MOJO Monday sketch (MOJO96)! Love love love the layout!
I've had a thing for vintage looking cards recently, so I naturally went in that direction with this one. My mother LOVES purple...like no other - seriously! Soooo...I worked with the new SU! Rich Razzleberry and the retired SU! Purely Pomegranate. I think the two look great together. I also used the new SU! Razzleberry Lemonade DSP.
After I layed my pattern out to size it up, it seemed like I had too much background showing through to keep it vintage with plain cs. Soooo, I spied a roll of linen I picked up for just over a dollar at WalMart the other day. PERFECT! In my mind anyway :O)
I hand-stitched the linen to the card using craft thread, trimmed to the size of the cs and frayed the edges. This successfully used up the vacant space I noticed at first :O) I popped the three matching panels using dimensionals and did the same for the main image.
More info on my blog, Mindless Creativity...just as soon as I finish uploading this card :O)

Great mojo card. Love the nestie shape you used to frame the tulips.
