As mentioned earlier, this collage stuff is way out of my league. I went hunting for an image to inspire me to do something out of the norm (for me, anyway) for Mothermark's 1st Anniversary tea party and I found it here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/colliers08/2492143439/. I was drawn to the rose on that fabulous hat!
Cindy and her rowdy gang (with the exception of the lady-like Sabrina, of course!) headed over to Britain this week to have tea with the Queen! So I dug out my little tea service stamp which features roses. The card base is the British flag, topped with a heart doily embossed in Irridescent Sparkle EB. Embossing the heart unexpectedly gave it a translucent quality, which reminded me of porcelain (just like a teapot!). I stamped the image in gold metallic ink and embossed it in clear. Then painted the image with shimmer watercolor paints and colored the roses with shimmery gel pens. Stickled the sugar cubes.
Happy Anniversary, Cindy! Sorry I'm late, but I do hope y'all had fun with the Queen ... polar bear dancing and all! (That Mutnik ...)
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Oh, I see I don't fit in the ladylike "genre". Okay...
Well, I do have to admit that you still have a lovely way of making cards now Miss Muse! (Excuse my French!) Love the tea set and all your display. Too bad you can't find anything nice to say about me huh! LOL Just having fun on a wonderful saturday now M. Hugs!

I knew this had to be a tea-party card as soon as I saw it - even though I saw it out of tea-party context in the IC gallery. Thank you so much for realising I am ladylike - all these aspersions that are being cast at me, like tackling Mutnik.
You did a great job for someone who says collage isn't her style, this conveys the essence of a British tea-party.
p.s. - the way I calculate things you're not even late, I think the 53rd party is the one to celebrate as being the first birthday!

Hey, Emily....over here.....come here....yes, I'm talkin' to you, Miss M.....I wanna give ya the low down on Miss Sabrina. Yeah, the one you think is all lady like at these tea parties. Ya shoulda seen her tackling Mutnik in her polar bear costume. It wasn't pretty, and it definitely wasn't lady like! LOL!!!
The Queen will certainly appreciate your very British-like high tea card. The gold doily and beautiful purple rose are the essence of elegance and royalty. So beautiful!

Oh my, that gold doily sure brings back some memories. Did you steal it from the Queen? Probably real gold! Love the tea set you put on it. Miss M, this is a way cool card. Love that rose! Glad you finally made it. TFS :0)

Yeah, nice card, but I was hoping that getting involved with this group would improve your behavior quotient. Now after a few months of reading about the polar bear, prison terms, rehab clinics, jewelry heists, and who knows what all else has happened that has not come to light as yet with this international cartel, I am not sure that is the therapy I had hoped for. It seems that people of like ilk manage to find each other. Just can't figure out how this dumb ole country boy (who is as pure as the driven snow) got involved. Oh, I remember, I was sitting at MY table 19 1/2 years ago .................................................. .........
