What lovely examples today, Julia for the bright and bold challenge! I love working with color! Have a look...
With the Fourth of July coming up, I wanted to create a card honoring our mothers, daughters and sisters who might be away in the military. I appreciate your service to our country as we remember the founding of our nation.
I have used Artistic Outposts new She-roes plate for my solider. She was stamped on acetate to give an ethereal look. I used part of the wing in this set also. The farmstead is part of the Serenity plate, inked with Memento inks and the sunset with ChalkBox cat's eyes. I tore the edges of my papers to create the aged look and then stamped the beautiful floral flourish (part of the Serenity set) in rainbow colors around the edge. A bit of trim finishes the card.
I hope your week is going well, it's Friday eve! Thanks for your comments.

Wow, this is ART. Wonderful creative card. Great use of colour and elements. The way you applied the colour paper gives the card such movement and texture- inspirational. Thanks so much for sharing.

Beautiful! Love all the images. They actually brought me back to Missouri in the summer time with the house and the huge tree, and the sense of history.
