 | | This was made for today's color challenge to use white plus one other color and we were to keep it a 1 layer card. I, uh, had problems with my original plan, so I had to add a layer to hide my mistake. I'm sorry!
I started out by inking up the harlequin background with versamark, then I cut an oval out of a scratch piece of paper and placed the oval in the middle of the inked stamp. I pressed the card front to the inked stamp and then embossed with white ep.
I THOUGHT I'd get a nice, uninked oval right smack dab in the middle of the card, but alas. I ended up with a weird octagon instead!
So I cut an oval frame and embossed it using the cuttlebug to hide the weird edges. I sponged some silver over the frame and around the edges of the card as well as stamping 'today' in the same silver ink.
I might try a redo on this if I have time tonight, but for now I've got to run. Thanks for taking a look! |
