May is my month for birthday cards. Thanks to the challenges, I should get them all made in a timely fashion. The male cards are always difficult--since I prefer the frilly, flowery cards.
This this card, I used the Mojo Monday 83 sketch. I stamped the wolf twice, cut him out once and layered him over the other one to add a little dimension. I sponged around the wolf with Navy chalk. The tree is punched twice--once in dark gray and once in light gray--to make a shadow. Markie's Mom did this on a Halloween card, and I really liked it. I used decorative scissors (pinking) to trim the Navy strip at the bottom. I stamped Happy Birthday on twill tape and put it through two pieces of Hodgepodge Hardware and glued the ends under.
Thanks for looking.

Lorie, this is so wonderful in those blues. Love the rough hewn look of the sentiment with that hardwood. I think this is really a great masculine card, perfect for the BC! You're on a roll, girl.

OMG, you'll have to go look at my most recent card in my gallery. I can't believe how similar it seems to this. Obviously you posted first (I just uploaded yesterday) but I swear I didn't even look at yours. I love those mojo sketches and was also trying to do the CAS challenge with papers I already had cut. How funny that those circumstances led us to make such similar cards. I love your plaid patterns and the use of hodgepodge and twill!!
