For the Clean and Simple challenge (inspiration this week) I played from this girlÂ’s bedspread from JC Penny.
This goes together in about fifteen to twenty minutes but IÂ’m not counting cutting and preparing the envelope and inside the card.
-Images are colored with Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps for blending. I added the shadow last so if it pulls a bit of red from the ladybug into the shadowÂ…thatÂ’s what I wanted and it normally does. The trail is done with a marker; I used a metal embossing template as a guide which I picked up at a resale.
-The flowers punches are from EK Success and each one takes 15 second to sculpt with a metal ball stylus. The leaves are from Martha Stewart punch that I cut out apart. The leaves are attached to the flower and then both to the card with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue.
-I didnÂ’t have checked paper like the bedspread shows so I used the dotted paper in its place.
