I love this sentiment by Verve in the Beautiful You set. Though there is a lot to this card, it came together quite easy and many different things were used; so bear with me while I try to explain it.
I am in love with my Nesties. And may I also say the tan embossing mat! I didn't purchase the mat at first and thought I could do without it, but after going to Flourishes Dream Weekend a couple of weeks ago and seeing the beautiful way it enhances these great looking die cut pieces, I just had to have them. I'm so glad that I got them. They are to die for (well, not really).
I used Cameo Coral as a card base. I had to have this cardstock a while back and think this is the first time I've used it. It really is very pretty. I cut the card 4.25 x 11 and folded it.
A smaller black piece was cut for the next layer. I took a piece of Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers cut a little smaller than the black piece and layered it on the bottom behind the flower. A piece of white cardstock was cut to match the size of the patterned piece for the top of the card. Before I adhered it to the black, I used Creamy Caramel and Going Gray inks to sponge around the edges. Then I took some black stitches rub-ons and put around the edge and placed this piece on the black layer and above the patterened piece. I took some $1 black and white dotted ribbon from Michael's and placed around this now one pieced layer. A scrap piece of black cardstock was cut out using my scalloped oval Nestie, then added dots with my Inkssentials Pen in the scallops. A white piece of scrap was used for the oval Nestie and embossed. Again, Creamy Caramel and Going Gray were sponged on the edges. The sentiment from Verve's Beautiful You was stamped a little high on the oval piece. Tiny black Kaiser pearls were placed underneath 'miracles'. This piece was raised with pop dots and put on the black scalloped piece. This piece was then pop dotted and placed in the stitched area.
A LARGE coral Prima was folded in half and glued with glue dots on each side to hold it together. A large self-adhesive black-and-white 'button' was placed in the middle of the Prima. The flower piece was placed at the bottom of the card.
I used Fruit Punch Stickles to go around the right edge of each petal for a little sparkle, then let dry.
I was so happy with the way this turned out; don't know if I will ever give this one away, ha! Does anyone else ever get 'attached' to their cards or is it just me??

Lol! I would be attached to this card as well! So pretty! I love the colors, and the stitching and the primas. Beautifully put together!

This is so beautiful and striking!! I absolutely LOVE how you folded the prima in half and used that big brad for the center. And, yes, I must admit that there have been one or two of my cards that I haven't wanted to part with.

This is such an awesome card. I'd be surprised if you weren't attached to it Now I'm going to have to go to Mike's to buy some BIG flowers so I can case this beauty! TFS
