I like all the different brightly colored circles. That is where I started and where I ended up was a wild ride.
I traced around several circular items on my desk I cut them out to make a multisized circle template. I randomly traced the circles using the template all over the cardstock. Then it came time to color them in. I started with colored pencils and realized that I would be sitting there coloring until Stef puts up next weeks IC. So I decided to think outside the box and got out my crayons. Yup you heard me plain old crayola crayons. I have always loved a new box of crayons. As I was coloring I remembered why I don't use them very often. Remember the crumbles. When I was done it was interesting to say the least. I then got to thinking. If the baby oil and blenders works with the colored pencils because the are wax, maybe it would work with crayons too, because they are wax. So I got out my baby oil and blenders. Wow, loved the effect. I am going to have to try it again soon. Crayons are a little harder than the colored pencils, because the wax content is higher. It was a little harder to control the blending... hence the Happy Birthday cover ups.
I also went with a long size of card, which I rarely use.
I don't really like this card, but I liked what I learned doing it.
What do you think?

Oh, I like it. I love it. I love the circles, the colors, the long card and the sentiments. I just love that you tried something new with success. Super job.

It looks great, MariLynn - happy and cheerful, and I bet the texture looks even better IRL. I like crayons, but I use the Twistables because they are cleaner. The kids I used to mind were so impressed because at the time Twistables were big in their school and they didn't have any .
Look forward to seeing your next try with them, but it doesn't look as if there is much room for improvement.

Your circles look really nice, MariLynn!! Oh, and I'm blaming you for me adding ANOTHER challenge to my week!! After the teapot one, I wasn't so "scared" of this inspiration one, so I decided to give it a try this week. It was fun!!
I love that you used crayons!! We did melted crayon technique for VSN a couple weeks ago, and that was alot of fun too! You just never know what kind of supplies you will need for stamping!!
