Okay, Judy, I did stretch myself with your challenge...I gave up my beloved collage to do a simple card with watercoloring. I also used my embossing folder which has been neglected of late! And the other thing, is I added 4 layers which is not my typical style. I must admit to wondering if I could do it....thanks for the stretch, I feel so much better now!
This card was made for the TSC, wannabcre8tive challenged us sistahs to make a sympathy card that could be mailed cheaply...I believe I accomplished that even though I have 3 small foam mounting squares under my leaves.
I recently hit an estate sale where the lady had over 700 wooden stamps for sale...now mind you, my neighbor and I arrived the morning of the second day, but still there were at least 200 stamps still wanting good homes! My vultures from Art Impressions kept pestering me to pick 'em up, so what's a girl to do...I brought them home along with 5 other Art Impressions images. Guess those ole birds knew I'd need them for Shirt's challenge today!
I stamped the vultures in Stazon Timber Brown ink onto GP white cs and watercolored with Derwent wc pencils. I then took the image over to my printer and in photoshop I added the sentiment. The Labels2 was used to cut the white and SU chocolate chip. I stapled them together with copped staples. The cuttlebug leafy branch embossing folder was used on SU more mustard and was cut out. I used just pieces of it. The card base is Brazzill linen textured cs.
Happy Friday, all you chicks and roosters...stay well! And thanks for taking the time to let me know what you think of my sympathy card!

Well, a Twisted Sistah indeed! OMGosh Susan, you sooo rock! I love this image and that sentiment is a hoot! You kill me. Think I will giggle all day. (btw, I told Shirt I was making a 'bad' sympathy card too. See you in the funny papers!!)

This stamp is an absolute riot! Your coloring on the birds is just about perfect, too. Great job! 700 STAMPS???? I thought I was a collector. Makes me look like an amateur!
