This is a card for my BF for Ferris Wheel Day -- which is February 14, the date of another famous holiday! We don't "do" Valentine's Day so it was great when I found out there's another holiday (ha) to say I love you. Feb. 14 is the birthdate of George Ferris who invented the Ferris Wheel!
My card has only a little bit of stamping but I wanted to show what can be done with a Marvy punch.
I used the pink circle Marvy punch. I punched it on scrap paper first and folded it in half and then turned it 90 degrees and folded it again, to make a folded cross. I laid the scrap circle over the one I wanted to use and with a very sharp pencil i pushed on the center, so when I looked at my real circle, I could see the little dot. Then I just used a ruler and pen to draw lines directly through the center, leaving 1/8 inch on each end.
Getting the other spokes of the wheel evenly spaced was a bit of trial and error, but it turned out to be a half-inch and a line, on the ruler.
I used my prisma pencils to make "chairs." For the heart, I used a tiny heart that came in the cupcakes set by Stampendous.
Then I drew, with the same pen, the triangle for the legs of the Ferris Wheel. A colored brad went through the middle (I wasn't completely perfect with the spokes of the wheel and had to cover it up) and then I put it on dimensionals.
The sentiment is made from the Multi Retro set by My Sentiments Exactly.
I think he will laugh his head off.
TFL!
