I am catching up on this Challenge and thoroughly enjoying the process, this card is for the HOLY Challenge. It is great combining the love of this craft with God's Word....thank you for the opportunity!!!
As I was chosing a scripture I was reminded of when my beautiful Nana went to be with the Lord 18 months ago. I asked for her personal Bible, as it held so much meaning for me. I waited so eagerly for it to arrive and when it did I held it close and drew in a breath, knowing that as I inhaled I would smell that 'Nana' smell one more time....but nothing. I was so disappointed and dropped my head and just wept into her Bible.
After a time, I realised that I had waited with such longing just to have that 'touch' of hers one more time, to smell her...but there was nothing there...YET, everyday God is there in HIS Word waiting eagerly for me to open it and inhale HIM....yet so often I disappointed Him and kept Him waiting! The reality of this really touched my heart....I am sure that both my Nana and the Lord are thrilled to see me into His Word in this way!
Thank you for making this possible...I am embracing this opportunity and enjoying walking this journey with each of you!!!
I have said nothing about the card, but I have thought that I am going to make sets of them and give them as gifts, to bring His Word to others...so their lives can be enriched too!!!
Thanks for looking, and for your comments - you bless me!!!

Your card is beautiful, but the words you shared are even more beautiful. I'm sure you're right - your Nana and God are thrilled. How do I find more info about this particular challenge? I would love to see all the cards that have been made and even try some. I agree with you, combining this craft with God's word appeals to me. God bless you.

Linda~ how stunning is this! Your story touched my heart and reminded me of the song 'Breath of Heaven, breathe down on me'. It is so beautiful how you remember your Nana. Someday we will have that great reunion! Your work here honors your Nana and your Maker. I love to see scripture as the featured image!
Here is the link to the HHN09 Challenge. I hope many more join in on this beautiful study!
