A few weeks ago Julie (JMB073) wrote a blog post about having a “go to” layout, a layout she uses quite a bit when she creates her cards. When I read her post I thought now there is a great idea, I should figure out one too. Well, I needed a couple cards for some folks at work, sat down to make them and realized I do have a “go to” layout, I actually got it from Michelle Wooderson’s blog some time ago. Michelle wrote about how she likes to use 12x12 papers because she can cut 4x4 squares, which are perfect for A2 cards, and get several cards out of one sheet of paper.
One of the women I support at work turned 50 last year, when she went for all her annual tests she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Good news is it was caught very early and she has such a great positive outlook. With the holidays over I wanted to get a bright, cheery card out to her while she goes through post-surgical treatment. This image from Emerson (American Art Stamps) cracks me up and I think sheÂ’ll get a kick out of it. I made the card pretty simple, keeping the focus on my words of encouragement written inside.
Thanks for looking.

Oh, Mau -- you are such a good friend! Making this card for your friend was a very nice thing to do. This layout is awesome - you could go very far with this one. Lots of possibilities! (And thank you for mentioning me as well!)
