My daughters informed me this morning that today was the last day of school and they had no teacher gifts. So I had to whip up something quick. I laminated just the fishy piece to protect the watercolor pencil on the front with my Xyron using my special trick to turn your two sided laminate cartridge into a one sided cartridge:
To laminate just the front of a piece using the two sided cartridge, cut a second piece the same size as the piece you want to laminate and run them through together back to back. Then trim the laminate up to the edge and you will be able to separate the two pieces, each one laminated on one side. This is great for note pad covers because it's hard to adhere a double laminated piece...even the sticky strip has a hard time sticking to the laminate! And it's a great way of getting double duty out of your cartridge since you can laminate two covers at the same time.
