TLC200 Apple Birthday
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: clee1953

This card was my first try at the faux silk technique - for the Mondays Technique Lover's Challenge. This is what I did (slightly different from the directions):

Stamp image on tissue paper, let it dry, crumple into a ball, gently smooth out.
Stamp same image on a piece of cardstock - I used red c/s for the apple and green c/s for the leaf - cut out images.
Adhere cut out images to another piece of cardstock - I used a crackled paint designer background paper
Completely cover cardstock and image with glue stick, adhere tissue image over cut-out image so they match, being careful to leave some wrinkles for the full effect. Fold edges of tissue to the back of the c/s and adhere.

I matted the tissue/cardstock piece over a strip of turquoise c/s, then over a red mat, added snaps and a PC-printed sentiment, and adhered over designer paper.

One note - I wanted the green underneath the leaf to match the designer paper a bit better, so I lightly colored on the tissue leaf with marker.
