Lisa here as your hostess for this week's WTUI challenge.
I am seeing more and more cards with stitching added to them. Many years ago, before I had all the supplies I have now, I added cross stitching to my cards. It seems that is coming back now but using paper and a die cut punching out the holes in the paper. Oh, the possibilities. Today's challenge, add stitching to your cards. If you don't own any of the stitching die cuts, no problem, add some faux stitching.
I can't wait to see how you add stitching to your cards today.
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how: 1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
We have some wonderful cards this week from the very creative team.
Here are mine. You can't really see the stitching as well as I intended on the Tyvek one, even though I deliberately used a cream thread, but I did pull the sewing machine out especially for it.
Anita(snietje) will be in 7th heaven today with your challenge, Lisa! She does extraordinary stitching on her cards. I, on the other hand, am not so talented so I used the "faux stitching" technique. : ) Thanks.

OMGosh - thank you for this challenge! I love to stitch on cards!! Mine are all very simple stitching. I just love the texture and feel that stitching gives to a handmade card, whether it's faux, machine stitching, elaborate embroidery, etc... LOVE it!!
