Good morning everyone! My server is working very sparadically this morning and when it does it is soooo slow. I finally managed to get this quick card made. I never use watercolor paper....just once before I believe so I really hope to try it a few times for this challenge. If you don't have SU watercolor paper...you can just buy some watercolor paper in the art section at Michael's. HTH.
Well, I didn't have the watercolor paper, or shimmery white, so I tried with Whisper white. I am a new beginner, and not too familiar with the watercoloring technique, but thought I would try it! Here is my card! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Can't play until tonight, but I have something in mind for this. Thanks!

Great challenge Lindsey, hope that Julia gets her computer fixed, I hate to think what i'd do if mine wasn't working, might have to cook or clean. (gasp)
--Today I want to do a softer card, my two cards yesterday were a little bright and busy for me. I also wanted to use my Basic Grey paper again, but this time just a little.
I've actually been playing with watercolor paper quite a bit this week. Since I'm at work and haven't had a chance to make a card yet today I'll pretend I made these 2 cards today instead of earlier this week....
I give up trying to take a good picture....IRL, the ribbon matches and the watercoloring looks better. Oh well! Thanks for looking. :-D Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Thanks Lindsey for the great challenge! I rarely use my Watercolor paper, so any incentive is great!! I had fun with this one, Apple of my Eye: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I can't wait for the search function in the gallery to be fixed so it'll be easier to look at what everyone else is making! ;) Guess I'll start by checking all the links posted in this thread.

the first attempt (flowers) actually came together quite easy. THe horse was a totally different story. If you have any suggestions, I would greatly appriciate them.

I'm definitely going to try this one! I have WC paper and thought I'd use it a lot but I hardly ever touch it, so this is a good challenge for me. Those samples are lovely!
Some great work like always, wish I felt like playing!
I did do a scrapbook page if anyone wants to take a peek at it, you can see it by clicking on my gallery link! Off to leave more comments! TTYL...
Here is mine- I used the watercolor paper under the giraffe--- and then rubbed it in craft ink to "age" it and make it make the background! My first try so hopefully I will do better next week! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I love watercolor paper, don't know why I haven't been using it, guess because it was out of sight. --I just had to do another quite card, still recovering from my bold cards I made yesterday. LOL
Here's mine today, finally. Boy these runs to the doctors office sure has to quit -- this one took the whole morning (and my car did automatically turn itself into the Michaels parking lot too -- imagine that):
I used watercolor paper from Michael's and SU watercolor pencils and my Aqua painters to color. I am actually pretty pleased with the results.

Ok SO one of the cards above looked too plain so I fiddled with it some more.... here it is
Just uploaded to the gallery. Stickles take forever to dry. I watercolored on shimmery white paper as I felt that paper would be best for this card: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I uploaded this one just a couple of days ago - don't look if you don't want to see anything that wasn't made fresh like bread today. I just love this house mouse stamp though. TFL!
Oh yay! This is perfect! I haven't used my WC paper in ages! Here I go!

Thanks for subbing, Jacksonbelle (love that avatar with Willie), and for using one of my stand-bys -- watercolor paper! Yay!
I live in Oklahoma where we are in the middle of some bizarre weather patterns (DS has been out of school all this week and will be out tomorrow due to ice, and they're predicting we could get a foot or more of snow beginning tomorrow evening...). Bad for going outside the house, but great for getting some stamping done.
I needed to come up with a birthday design and wanted something Spring-like, so here is
