WT876 ~Deck the Cards (with Boughs of Holly)...{12/23/2021}
It's Thursday 23rd, Christmas is just round the corner. I am sure you are totally finished with Christmas cards and your houses are looking beautiful. But I still thought we could deck our cards with boughs of holly - or ivy, or mistletoe or pine - or any other Christmas type of flowers or foliage. Think amaryllis (hippeastrum) as well as poinsettia, maybe you have a Christmas cactus image in your stash?
You don't have to make a Christmas card if you're burnt out on those. A bird perched on a pine bough is great all year round ; I went with an owl on pine boughs for a birthday card.
Next Thursday is the last Thursday of the year - and, sadly, Jayne's last challenge as a hostess. I've loved her fun creative ideas and suggested techniques for her own challenges and wonderful samples each week. Make sure you come back next week and see what she has lined up for us before she steps back.
Once you've decked your card (or other project, of course) with whatever Christmas foliage and/or flowers took your fancy, upload it with the keyword WT876, and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card .
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how: 1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Thanks to the team for their beautiful samples: Lisa, Polly, Jayne and Toni
Sabrina- thank you for the wonderful challenge, I was able to use a repurposed tea box and a woodcut like holly and berries stamped panel I brought from the West Coast during my travels. Here's WT876 christmas cheer

This was quite a challenge, I am out of town, and grabbed a few supplies to create with..... I decided to get them out today while the baby is napping and put a card together.
