Lisa here your hostess for this weeks Ways to Use It challenge.
This challenge is one that came about when I was going through my tote of items I am trying to use up. I was given a broken necklace from my sister and she asked if I could use it on a card. Well sure...now to come up with a card to use it.
Today's challenge, find an item in your stash that you have been holding on to that you want to use on a card and find a way to use it. I can't wait to see what you use.
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)4. Click EDIT. Click COPY5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE. We have a wonderful card this week from the very creative team. Please see Sabrina's, Cathy's and Toni's amazing cards.
Thanks for the fun challenge, Lisa, and for stretching us to reach for those things we save thinking we will use them but never seem to do so. I had fun using new stamps to make my card.
Excellent challenge! I tried to suggest this to the one swap group I belong to and the moderator just did not understand at all. I finally gave up. I'll be back!

Well Jean, now you can play with it on this challenge. We all have super fun items that we are holding on to and this is the challenge for those items.
just yesterday i found a little chain that i kept from a clothing tag and wondered if i could use it on a card. i tried to make it work with the card i had made but alas, it didn't go. now to think of a way to incorporate that. Thanks for the challenge.

I have a dozen containers full of ribbons, twines, threads, yarns, etc. So I used 3 different ones on this creation! Fun digging through all my stuff and actually using some of it! Ha! Thanks for a great challenge Lisa. Here's my card: "Escape"
Lisa this is a great challenge! I had a bunch of plastic snowflakes, forever! So I used those.

I didn't quite go as far as others but I did find some braid (velvet daisy) that I had saved. I used it on this cute card for a cute little lady who is 3 tomorrow

Lisa, this is such a great idea for a challenge. I have a drawer full of items that would qualify for "what am I going to use this for" but here's a start--my card.

I loved looking through your projects! I have had a template for a box for well over ten years. This challenge got me to finally try it out. I used a sheet of DSP that is also from my old stuff bin. Now I’ve done it once, I might use this template to make table gifts for Christmas dinner. I posted four pictures, but am only linking one, you can see the others showing various steps when you visit this one.
What a fun challenge! A friend of mine gave me some little ribbons that had a tiny rose on them. They had belonged to her sister (who I really liked also) who had passed, and she thought I could use them to craft with. I thought it worked great on this card. I will have to certainly share some cards with them on it, with my beloved friend!
I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and catching up on my SCS postings.
I had been saving the last paper and elements from the Paper Pumpkin Box of Sunshine for June 2020, and I decided it was time to make it up into a special card to celebrate my mother with a brighten your day, belated birthday, love you, thinking of you, and an encouragement card all rolled into one! This was my first Paper Pumpkin kit, and I so loved the papers and elements provided!
