I could only find the link at the top of this thread. If anyone has a link to something better...please post it ...we could all use it.
Read that tutorial and it gives some great ideas on stippling. Someone also mentions there that they clean their brush(es) with baby wipes.
I didn't even know what stippling was when I read the challenge this morning so I looked it up in Webster's. And after seeing some of the cards already made, I can see that it is going to be a definate MUST HAVE!! Love the look of it.
Here's my entry for today's challenge Julia. Thanks for such a fun technique challenge. I was inspired by AmyR's gorgeous card she did in her dyed ribbon tutorial. I wanted to do the top panel frame, but due to the rectangular shape of my focal image, it wouldn't work in a proportional manner.
What about using the scratch paper that you "pounce" the brush on to clean it off as a piece for a card? Sure wish I was home with my stamps right now to try this challenge.
Well, this started out as a card for the Sketch challenge and then I trimmed a little too much off one side of the CS on which I stamped the main image so it wasn't a Wide Open Spaces card. So instead I made it a 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 square card, stippled on the BG and it is a card for the Ways To Use It challenge. The Stippled BG looks much deeper IRL. The scan washed it out.
I did the ghosting technique for the background with the Stipple Brush rather than a background stamp to give it texture.
The main image is stippled all around and then I did the Faux Diamond technique since I thought it needed some SPARKLE!!!
On the glossy paper the stippling comes out darker and seemed to be more detailed than the regular white in case anybody wants more texture.
THANK YOU so much for this challenge!! I am looking forward to implementing everyones ideas. I have a stipple brush but have only used it once and wasn't happy with it. Decided to try some ideas I saw on the forum....still need to practice BUT here is mine....TFL Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Forgot to say that I will be using my stipple brush often now. I just love how SCS makes me fall in love with my abandoned items in my stamping closet.
Here's mine. I've had a 1/4" stipple brush for awhile but haven't used it, so thanks, Julia, for challenging me to use it. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I'm on my way to Open House so I felt rushed. I need to try this again. Fall Stipple Wreath.

This is gonna be fun! I was gone all day and just saw the challenge. I love my stipple brushes so time to go play. I took a fast peek at what has been done so far, everyone has done a awesome job!
I didn't have a stipple brush, so I hit JoAnn's at 9:30 this morning. I had an interview with the "University Manager" at 10am to talk about teaching cardmaking classes. Well, to make a long story short, I spent $40 on product but looks like I got the job! LOL.. so what's the profit on this card???
Thanks Julia for the great challenge. I just got home and read the whole thread, and I was so HAPPY  because I just got my stipple brushes - yesterday, so this will get me to use them. Hopefully tonight! :p
Here is my card - Grateful Tree. The tree is shimmery, since I have copper PE in some of the leafy areas. I wanted it too look like a tree in fall, hopefully I pulled it off.

Staying up to late on a school night, BUT the stipple brushes were brand spankin' new. When I was pouncing away I was curious if people use water with their ink? I was having problems getting the ink out of the brush. It was obvious to me at one point that I have never used a stipple brush. I was wishing the angel  of Kitty747 on my card. Anyway, I will forge on and see what else I can create.
Thanks for looking and the inspiration to make cards (even on a school night:mrgreen: )
Even though this isn't a card, I use my stipple brushes all the time when I make coasters. I stipple the edges with Close to Cocoa craft ink and it really adds dimension to them. Here is one example from my gallery Thanks for looking..... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Happily stampin' away the day!
A little late on the WT challenge...My DS was SICK all day yesterday and I didn't get ANY time to myself...good thing the other two were really good! I hate flu season (although it seems to be quite a bit early for that...hope it wasn't something I cooked! :???: ) Anyway here's my card:
Finally finished mine. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
This card took me forever because I kept wanting to add a background stamp on the lilac layer and simply could not get it to work. The stippled pearlex is gorgeous IRL...wish there was a way to get the glow to show in a scan.
Thanks for the challenge.
Peggy
I actually had time to play today and incorporated some stippling into this card. it works great for shading. i shaded the sides of the presents with a darker ink and the stipple brush. here's my sample: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Finally got my stippling brushes. My stippling needs practice. But I liked doing it. Here's a BD card for one of my brothers. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
and I had to do another one just because.. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Now I still need to find some dominoes. lol
