Hello everyone, This is my first time being a hostess for WTUI challenge.I'm very excited, and hopefully I will do this right.
I chose my favorite tool to use on cards....embossing. Let's have some fun and put texture on our cards today. You can use embossing folders, border folders, brass stencils or anything that makes a raised image.
For my sample I used an embossing border and cut around it. Also used two other folders for the corner and sentiment.
Remember to use the keyword, WT398 , when uploading your card so we can all see your creation. It helps if you link it up back here too.
1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

How nice to have you as the hostess this week, Linda! Good challenge. It will give me the reason I need to get my "big" container of embossing folders out ... the ones that have been collecting dust for a while. Hee!
Hi, Linda, great to see you as our Hostess for this week's Challenge!! I have actually just made this card and it is perfect for your challenge today -
Way to go on your first challenge again Miss Holstein...:0)....so fun. here is my embossed card.... Marty

Yeah Linda Congrats on being our newest hostess!
I love embossing folders and have NO idea what I did before they were invented! As I use one on almost every card I create.
One of the things I love most about Spellbinders dies is the embossed edge you get with all of them. Now is that cheating if I add this card to the challenge? There is an embossed edge on all of my die cuts?
This is a great challenge! I love all kinds of embossing, as I think the texture and 3-D features add to the attractiveness of hand made cards, and set them apart from most store-bought cards.
Hi again, Linda!! And congratulations again on your first time hostessing! Here's my card, even though I had all the components ready to adhere to the bottom layer (which was already adhered to the base CS) before it dawned on me I hadn't yet embossed it. Eeek!! Bone folder to the rescue - it did a great job of getting the layer up off the base.
At ANY rate, here 'tis. Thanks for a very fun challenge!!

Here is my humble card, using today's technique--embossing. Having time to only take a quick peek in the gallery, mine pales in comparison to y'alls fancy creations. Nonetheless, here it is:
Here is my UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) fall anniversary card for my DH Denny. I combined with the TLC399 Acrylic Block Collage technique challenge. Thanks Linda for an awesome challenge.
