O.K. I know this one is a stretch for plaid, but just roll with me. It's been a long week and I've been missing playing the challenges. Here's my faux-plaid card:
I combined this week's sketch and ways to use it challenges. Let me know what you think! :-D

I did this challenge. I didn't even have much plaid, only some that was part of an inexpensive pad of DP from Costco. I challenged myself with a very garish green, and in the end I really like the results!
One thing I appreciated was that since the plaid piece was the background, it was easy to line the other elements up. How nice to have a grid right on the card.
I did 2 versions, and they are also the layout challenge:

You don't see that combination often, flannel and pearls. Well here it is, just had to make another one of lilac sweet peas from Chris (chrisd99)again. Thank you Chris.
I really appreciate all of your hard work here at Splitcoast and I love the tips, techniques, and challenges. So much information and inspiration in one place!
Awesome.
Here's my take on the challenge

WT188 Mad for Plaid Valentine
HERE is mine. I used the scallop edge medallion technique with a MS border punch. I also used the punch along the bottom of the card. What do you think of it?
Slowing down for the night - thanks for looking!!!
