I like the idea of ghosting and spray & smash. I'll have to try one of each today and post the one I like best! Thankfully I realized I have until tomorrow to get this done...WHew!

Mine is finished and I will post it tomorrow. Don't ever let me wait until the last minute to try out techniques! It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I intended to do the soot but ended up doing the shaving cream. You'll have to read my blog to hear about my fiasco!!!!
I've got my materials out and then hubby called to say he's bringing someone home for dinner... So then I had to drop everything to clean the house... Now he calls and says, they aren't coming after all... oh well, at least the house is clean and I can get back to card making!

Ok I'm sorry I don't mean to be such a "flake." I created my card tonight and as I was putting the finishing touch on it I had an "oh crap" moment. I did not put it on glossy paper. SO I'm sharing it with all of you in my gallery but PLEASE DO NOT include me in the voting. Since I did not follow all the "rules" I don't want to be unfair. My techinque also was not very creative, I just did sponging. Ok here is the link for it.
April this is beautiful!!! I was going to do this one but I don't have any ink refills and could not think of a way to improvise. You did a wonderful job!
I had a hard time with this one! I tried the ghosting technique and the photo paper did not cooperate at all! I kept playing til I got close to my original idea though! I had fun with the challenge! Thanks April!
I'm still working on it.... I can't get the stamp resist to work... so I am going for the ink smash next... We'll see what happens. I know EXACTLY what I want the card to look like, so I'll figure it out somehow!

Alright... not as many people finished their cards this time... ANyway, here's my submission. It didn't turn out quite like I wanted it to, but it's done.
I also used photo paper on mine. Spotted background. It did not work, but I am not sure if that is due to fact that I have two sets of spots, and I am not sure if these are the old ones that got put near a heat duct and lost their juice/ink...or if these are my new ones and they have went on the fritz too...
Anyhow...not a good result, but an interesting background all the same...

Yes, she is hosting the next one. I just PM'd her last night. She has been sick with a stomach virus and on top of that just had her braces tightened so she hasn't been feeling too good the past week or so. I think I'm going to make a post on the thread for volunteers for the next one!
Thank-you Melanie ... Thank-you April ... I have an idea for the challenge ... I did not have the strength to sit at my table to stamp for this one ... I am feeling a little better today ... My stomach is soooo sore ... as for my braces, I couldn't even keep anything down for pain ... so my teeth are still sore too ... when it rains it pours ... lol ... going to vote!!!
