Welcome to the Watercolor Challenge, everyone! This week, we are painting negative spaces with Ehlke Art. The artist freehanded her hearts, but you can use a die-cut or even fold a piece of paper in half and cut half a heart shape. You have a template for an entire heart when you open the paper. I chose two differently sized heart dies and drew around the die to make my hearts. Also, the artist used wax paper, but I chose cling wrap. I have seen this technique used without any color on the first image, so that is also an option. I have also seen leaves, circles, and flowers painted with this technique, so feel free to switch your design to something other than hearts. Choose whichever method and shape appeal to you! I am eager to see what you come up with!

This was a cool challenge! I have never tried this before, but I really liked how it worked. My hearts got a bit wonky at the end, but it was still a lot of fun, thanks, Angie!
