Hi, & Welcome to this week's Wednesday WaterColor Challenge.
This week we are taking a look at a tutorial on youtube that is for painting shadows around a coffee cup with a Tip shared by Debby Hughes. Did you know that next week on the 29th will be "Coffee Day" I don't know about you but, coffee happens Every Day in my reality so, that always cracks me up when I see the silly holidays. and doing this now means you have time to get them done and out in the mail before the date.
and of course its OK to watercolor your stamped images because, That is exactly what I did using Stamp sets I had on hand with an overhead view into the cup.
You can find this challenge here:
Oh goodness, my friends - I am sitting here laughing at myself ! ! 6 hours after struggling to sketch this coffee cup and saucer, I kept thinking there had to be an easier way to do this. Well - DUH - NOW i remember that I have an ancient Orbis (EK Success) circle ruler that will draw concentric circles from 3/4" to 4 1/4" in 1 mm increments . . . .That could have eliminated a WHOLE lot of trial and error this morning - Though I do believe many of my shadows may well have been defined by all the erasures ! ! ! ! ! ! Of course by the next time I need to do circles I will have forgotten I own this again - such is life LOL

Ooh what a cool thing Linda, I think circles are hands down the hardest thing to draw. (maybe make a spot for it on your desk? so you see it more often?)
