WCW046, April 14, 2021 Watercolor butterfly and dragonfly
Hello and happy Wednesday. Linda here as your hostess this week. Since you all have been painting amazing scenes and flowers. Thought this week we would add butterflies and dragonflies that flutter around the flowers.
You have a choice of sketching them or using a stamp. Sure hope you give sketching them a try on practice paper. You can decide to make both or just one. I don't want anyone stressing out...this is suppose to be fun!
Each week we learn something new from the videos. This week, liked how she added shading with a neutral color over the first color. You can make your images any colors that you wish.

Thank you Linda for the beautiful tutorial. If you read my story you are not going to believe what I am going to type next but it's true. I really want to try this again!
Loose and unstructured goes against the nature of an OCD person like me but I got a butterfly I am happy to make into a card - now I'll have to rest the eyes befoer attempting a dragonfly!
Although I really love her samples I decided to branch out and do a I was going for a pale-ish green/blue moth type color and that part went OK for me. ( I like blue/green/brown) as a color combo a lot so, I am pleased with that part of this, and I really think I could easily do another dozen of these to get a really cool one. but, I need to go check on dinner so, here is one from me, thanks Linda!
Thank you! Wonderful challenge! Been longing for some time to do it since early Wednesday and finally!
I'm off for work, but will check out the gallery and all your awesomeness during the day.
