OK, I'm new. I've read everything I can find about VSBN and these Angel Wings, but I still can't figure everything out. Maybe someone can enlighten me, please!
Do you have to do all three challenges, or can you earn them in just one?
What do you really EARN? Are there really wings? Like for your signature or blog?
Are the wings a prize for submitting, and is there only one prize among all those who entered the challenge? Sorry if I seem confused. I truly did read through all the challenge information and I couldn't grasp the answers. Thank you!

Hi! Thanks for deciding to come join us! Each challenge starts in another thread and you have 3 hours (on the honor system) to do each challenge. At the beginning of each thread for each challenge, the rules will be listed for that particular challenge as to what should be part of the challenge itself and how long you will have to download your entry once you've completed it. If there are any prizes being given, they will be listed there as well. Sometimes there are prizes for the mini VSBN but not always. There is not anything actually being earned other than the satisfaction of getting those pages scrapped and having others ooh and aah over what you've done. THANX SO MUCH for energizing my scrapping. Last night was a blast. Looking at everyone pages inspired me to scrap all day today SUnday. i got 4 more pages done. WAHOOO!!

I will add my thanks to everyone here too! It was first time I have done any scrapbook challenges. It was fun! And inspiring! And I have a ton of pics to scrap! That was one of the things I wanted to accomplish when I retired. But then I got into all the card challenges. So, I hope to get more scrapping done from now on out! I can't wait till the main event! I will be gone the 5th and most of the day on the 6th, but will work on the challenges when I get back!

1) You need to clear your calendar for our VSBN on Friday & Saturday, November 5 & 6: challenges will be posted starting at 6PM and ending at Midnight EST
2) Know that the length of a challenge has changed from previous VSBN's. All challenges are now 3 hours long; hopefully you will be able to complete about 3 pages in this time frame (this is an average, some are quicker & some are slower)
3) Please read the bottom of the challenge when it is posted for Contest Participation Rules, they've been updated
4) You should not need anything more than Scrapbooking Stash: PICTURES!, a variety of paper & cardstock, scissors, paper trimmer, adhesive, a few punches, some stickers, some colored pens/markers/pencils, a few stamps, some ribbon, some 'sparkly' stuff ~ if a challenge requires something more than what's on this list we will post it in this thread so be sure to subscribe or check back.

For our November VSBN weekend, our Guardian Angels (hostesses) recommend:
1) A sequence of 9 Pictures, it can be from the same day, the month, year, vacation, etc. And need to be in B & W
2) A black and white picture and recycled item that can be used on the layout
3) If you normally scrap 1-3 photos...you will need 9 photos for this challenge; if you normally scrap 4+ photos you need only 1 photo for the same challenge

I so needed to be able to play at the Mini and the upcoming one...Sadly, company kept me busy the first and wishing the VSBN was another weekend because we're headed to Disney on the next one!!! (altough that is 'happily') But sorry to be missing it...
I love the timeframes, they keep me on track and adhering, actually getting pages done as opposed to moving things here and there and back.
Wanted to check in just to say, how much I appreciate all the hard work that is done behind the scenes to make this happen for us. THe challenges are always great and get the creativity flowing in so many ways. Wishing everyone Happy Scrappin'!

Unfortunately our other request for prizes did not come through, only digi prizes were donated. 'Earn Your Wings' was just a fun way to say 'What You Need'...to go with the On Cloud 9 Theme. VSBN (& VSN) is an event run by volunteers on SCS.

Any updates to this list? I know I don't have any black and white photos to scrap (plus no time to get them), so I'm hoping some of the other challenges feature color!

No, so that means that all the other challenges are using your everyday scrapping supplies from post #49
This was a great VSBN, I admit when i first saw the theme I was a little leary, but the hosts and coordinators all did a fabulous job of making each challenge unique and inspiring. Thanks everyone!!!

I missed being able to join in on Friday or Saturday but plan to spend some time today and tomorrow working on the challenges - I'm just curious about how often the VSBN's happen ??
I think every 3-4 months, you can still play the challenges though, not sure if an official schedule has been posted or not lately, as it wavered some the past year.

I thought the VARIETY was fantastic! I have several challenge pages not finished but am thrilled with all the ideas these challenges inspired! Our hostess were ANGELS with lots of creative ideas :-D
