Right in the middle of typing, my laptop said to find a power source! I guess I have never used the battery until it ran out before. I think it is good for 4 or 5 hours. I have had it with me carrying it around all day!
Anyway, was going to say (now that I am plugged in) that I am glad I am retired!
Sharon
I have a long way to go until retirement but some days I wish I were there already. I see people who retire and return to work because they are bored and I think "WHAT? You're crazy!!!!!" I guess it's easy to say while I'm still working and raising my family! ;)

People always were asking me what would I do? They told me I would be bored! NOT
But I will say. When I worked, I did everything I am doing now and worked.
Now, I can just do everything more layed back. It is wonderful!
I thought it would never get here, especially when DH retired 5 years before me! Those last years drug!
I loved all the challenges! Thank you to all the other hostesses and to our faithful coordinators! I got so much scrapped!
I look forward to seeing more pages in the Leap for Joy gallery tomorrow!
goodnight!
Sharon
Thank you for playing Markey and Terry! So glad you plaed this challenge!
Great pages both of you. So neat to see eveyone's take on the challenge.
Okay, my DH just caught me on the computer at 11;00 pm.
goodnite
Sharon
I'm in a slightly earlier time zone (or would you say later?)---regardless, it's earlier here, but it is still my bedtime. Hope to play, but won't get a chance until later in the week. Until then...

Ditto... DH and FIL get in tomorrow afternoon from a two-day road trip from Chicago (DH has been gone over a week now and I'm due in three - soooo ready for him to be home!) and they requested some molasses cookies, so I baked instead of scrapping tonight. I still need to fold some laundry and do a quick sweep in the bathroom before I can crash for the night, so no scrapping for me till later this week! I'm looking forward to doing the rest of the challenges, though!

Great, Wendy. I look forward to seeing it. I am so glad you liked VSBN and are participating in the challenges! It was so much fun. And I enjoyed the hostessing, too!
well...as usual for this VSBN these weren't the picts I had first picked to scrap but I never got those printed and did want to get the challenge completed this week. So Yay! My layout is done! Great challenge Sharon

Fabulous page Wendy! Gives me some ideas, but my photos aren't as good as yours! Thank you for completing your page for this challenge and sharing it with us.

This was a great page for this challenge, Sharon. My DH and DGS followed an Eagle from it's nest down to the river at Christmas timel. Both of them took photos. Like you said, though, distant!
Thanks for playing!
Sharon
Great page Patti! I love what you did for each letter, and I am sure someone felt like jumping for Joy for this event!
Thank you for playing along with this VSBN challenge!
Sharon
I had this page done last night but couldn't find anything for the letter O so I went into the techniques section on SCS and then thought of the "Out of Bounds" technique! Forgot about that one and it fit perfectly for this page but I had to find the magazine with the instructions so I redid that one picture this morning...looks much better now!

Sorry that I couldn't get a better picture....with the overlay on the picture, it made everything catch light so you couldn't see it very well in the photo----better a bit blurry than totally illegible.
Anyhow, this page is about one of my sons, making it to a new level of swimming. We were quite literally jumping for joy!
J is for my son, who is my junior and whose name starts with the letter J.
O is for overlay, which is the printed transparency on my spritzed background. It is also for the outlining, one journaling strip, and an odd number of pictures.
Y is for "Yahoo", my title.
Some others that I came up with (that are part of what happened at the pool): J is for jumping in the pool, O is for overtired which is how we felt at the end, and Y is for the YMCA where he swam and Y is also for the yards he swam (even if in Canada we swim in metres, he also swam in yards :p). Thanks!

It is a wonderful page! And you are very creative to come up for multiples for the letters. You had it all covered! Thank you so much for playing the challenge!
