Stalking VSBN! Woohoo! Let the Challenges Begin!
I was so excited to see the latest VSBN posted on the Home Page...like someone else has said...it's a great Headliner on there!
Thought we might need a new Thread to chatter a bit today until the chatter threads come up with all the Challenges!
Like so many others...I won't be able to play as much as I'd like. (My in-laws are coming for the weekend) but I love using the challenges for incredible inspiration afterwards as well!
Thanks to everyone that has gotten this going...looking forward to the fun!

I'm ready to roll. Just have to give the toddler a bath after her nap. I made the meatloaf yesterday and party potatoes today. All we have to do is heat them up as well as a can of green beans. I baked up a storm yesterday afternoon. Cinnamon rolls, banana breadk and Chocolate pumpkin cake and pumpkin muffins. We aren't going to starve for the next 3 days. :-)

This will be my first time hosting a challenge and two of my other {ippity} By Unity DT buddies are hosting too!! We are so excited and think you guys are going to love the challenges we have lined up for you!!
The count down is on. I will miss some of this evening for dance class then a little of Sat for rehearsal. Hopefully the rest of the weekend will be hassle free (ya right). Hubby is taking over with the kids so I'm sure I'll be called away more than once. Looking forward to see everyone's works of art.

I am excited to play! I didn't really get to to much in the last two vsbn's, so I want to do all I can in this one! Thanks to everyone who is hostessing a challenge--my hat's off to you!
WAHOOOOOOOO!!!!! I have to run and take the girls to an unexpected out-of-town Lacrosse practice/pizza party but I should be back in time for my challenge at 6:30...see ya'll then!!!!!
Just checking in! I'm at work until 6pm but, I'm ready. I have my sample page completed for my challenge and just need to scan it in when I get home. Wanted to pop in here and see what the 4pm challenge was. ;)

Party potatoes are mashed potatoes with cream cheese and sour cream mixed in. Put them in a casserole dish, top with grated cheddar and bake just till the cheese is all melted and gooey. Yum! Another SCS girl turned my hubby on to them years ago when we were Undercover Wear Lingerie Reps. We were always looking for something special for our get togethers.

Well I'm subscribing in... If i don't get any scrapping done, I'll at least get some yummy food recipes
ds2 seems to be coming down with something so I envision my evening will be snuggling on the couch with him. Daddy has to mow the lawn before the rains come, so I will check in later. Happy Scrapping!

Wow the Coordinators and Hostesses have outdone themselves this time, it's fabulous and although quickly put together appears to be so well thought out. The theme is fabulous and so inspiring, I just can't wait to see what else you all come up with and hoping I can play a little too!!

Thanks Charlsanne. We were fortunate to have so many talented ladies step up to the plate and hostess. There are definately more great challenges to come. I hope you are able to play as well.

Up...got girls to work on chores...I'm printing out a 'cheat sheet' of the challenges I've not done yet...off to shower...then in my craft room! I'm hoping to convince DH to take DD1 to her tennis lesson then from there they can go visit his parents; this way I can have the day to scrap ;-) Guess I better get something pulled for dinner and have the kitchen cleaned up a bit for the final convincing ;-) Of course he's been gone on a group bike ride for the past 3 hours so it may not be so difficult! Hope to see ya'll around!
Guess I'm the only 'stalker' so far :-) Well after dealing w/ some 11 yr old girl prehormonal drama...I definitely need to sooth myself with scrapbooking! DH agreed to take DD1 to tennis, visit his parents, and do some running around. I pulled out ribs for dinner to thaw...so I'm good for the next 3.5 hours! If your 'stalking' say hi! I'm off to work on some challenges :-)
Hey MP, I'm stalking and enjoying the chit chat
And loving all of the challenges, definitely inspirational!!
Too bad I found out this am hubby is gone till Wed, I was really hoping he would be back tonight, at least I have my Zumba class at the Y tomorrow so I know I will be able to get a shower in there - kid free (and I managed to squeeze one in before he left yesterday) it's the little things in life sometimes

Especially with wee ones like you have! You should look into a 'mothers helper' for the summer, it's wonderful! I was never in one place long enough when mine were little so I didn't do it. But I've had friends hire younger teens who are trying to gain babysitting experience come to their home for 1.5 - 2 hours to take care/play with the little ones and they get done whatever they want around the house or just chill out in their room...mom doesn't actually leave but gets a breather. Usually it's half the cost of a regular sitter or for Girl Scouts it's the experience ;-)

it's definitely a good thought, my little niece has done that ok not little I think she's going on 14 this year, and I may see if we can get her out here for a couple of weeks, pay her airfare or something if they will let her, especially depending on how crazy hubby's schedule is going to be, he's hoping to pick up extra trips and all to help us "catch up" we are so drained right now, but if she can't I will definitely have to look into something, and also see about daycamps for Maddy even if it's a couple of hours and a couple days a week.
I had a good schedule going on cleaning the house, with different chores each day. But I think I am going to re-start - finally - but focus on a room each day, like the days Maddy is at school do the playroom and her bedroom real good, or who knows just to try and stay caught up, I hate when things feel so out of control.
Fortunately Maci has started sleeping from about 8:30-4:30, only problem is Maddy wakes up at 1 to pee or just get up, ugh, so here's hoping she can make it through tonight without getting up so I can get somewhat uninterrupted sleep tonight!

If you don't know any local girl, call the American Red Cross to see who has bee recently Babysitter certified or your Girl Scout Council to see if anyone is working on a project where they need babysitting hours.
My DD2 is a light sleeper and I've heard to let them have a yogurt just before bedtime, it helps them sleep through the night. I was actually going to talk to her about it today to try for a week to see if it helps any.
yogurt - good idea, I know we do give her milk at times - ok she demands it at night, I try to fend her off, so makes sense to help keep her belly full and maybe not make her pee - will definitely have to try that!!!
and babysitting hours is a good one too, will definitely check it out come June and preschool and all other activities are over!!!!
At least with the big Rig I can shuttle people around - i.e. younger babysitters
