Title: Top Secret Recipe
Hostess: Jeremy, chefjeremy
Keyword: May11VSBND
Day/Date: Saturday, May 7
Time: 8p.m. EDT
Thank you everyone for the warm SCS welcome, I am really excited to be joining in the fun of VSBN. I am a chef, I received my culinary degree in 2005 and have worked in the industry for over 10 years. Today's challenge is a color challenge with a twist. Follow my recipe for a delicious meal and a fabulous scrapbook page.
1# any style whole grain or wheat pasta (Kraft)
2 whole bell peppers, cut into strips- I used red and orange
1# of boneless, skinless chicken breasts or tenders
1 zucchini cut in half, then cut into about 1 1/2" thick half moons (Green)
Optional garnish: parmesan cheese
Bring a pot of water to a boil for the pasta, do not add salt to water until it has begun boiling. Coat the chicken with Shake n Bake Garlic and Herb cook as directed, Add about a tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil to a saute pan, let it heat up for about a minute then add all the veggies as well as a 2 tsp of fresh garlic, and your favorite italian herbs (basil, oregano, marjoram, and Thyme) cook until they are al dente (not totally soft but not crunchy either). Cook pasta to al dente as well (approx 2 min less than the box says). Plate pasta, then add veggies, add your chicken (cut into strips).
Start your page with Kraft, add red, orange and green
Bonus: use embossing powder, glitter or flock as a garnish.

No problem you can substitute quinoa for a celiac friendly version or omit the grain all together. The color Kraft is a tanish color like the base of the sample page. But it is all to your interpretation, so can't wait to see what you come up with.

I'm primal through and through.
I will come up with something but it may not be what you expect...
SU! Kraft is called Crumb Cake now I believe...I still have a lot of the Kraft paper left from before the colors changed so I haven't gotten the new color yet to compare them. It's obviously not a color I use much of.

Can't eat quinoa either..
As I said I'm primal, meat, veg and fruit..
I think you'll find what I have in mind amusing..
maybe even amuse-bouche.. but not really mouth-sized !

This looks like a YUMMY recipe! I will definitely try it out during the week, thank you for sharing it. I am an early bird so I will be saving this scrumptious challenge for later in the week. Time for me to chill out and go to bed. Everyone enjoy your night!
Well, I just ate a pasta meal simalar to this for dinner! And now am all most too full to scrap! LOL But am thinking about this. For me, it will be the photos I find. I am thinking masculine this time. I have done girls for the other 3 challenges. Well, off to find the photos I have in mind!
Sharron we had it for dinner Thursday, as I am usually a little bit of this and a little bit of that kind of chef. So to write out a recipe, I needed to make it again. It was delicious but tonight after working a double we are eating Wendy's. Really wishing I was at your house for dinner LOL
Thanks for the challenge.. I really had to think hard to get this one done and enjoyed it immensly even though I had huge brain blanks at the beginning..

It's quite simple and I'll be revisiting this one another day to add to it, but my husband needs some attention. I've been here since about 10:00 this morning so I just got a basic page down and gave into his need for the rest. Of coarse I've still had the computer here in my lap and been talking with everyone.
All of that being said, I've had a GREAT time scrapping and playing along with all of the challenges today!!!
