Well, I had guilt over not following Betsy's directions very well, and so I went overboard! I did two full page 9 square pages for Linny's challenge! Well, I had a lot of misc photos of Tracer, so here they are!

I'M HERE! I'M HERE! Hello everyone...I was supposed to be the director for this challenge, and I PROMISE I DO NOT TELL A LIE... my power went down at 5:30 last night. It has been over a hundred this week and we managed to make it through a very hot night without AC and a two year old and a baby. The shocking part is that the power just came on at 9:45 tonight after over 29 hours out. After we had to move all of our freezer things to a friend's house, buy ice and try to salvage our fridge food, get out our camping lanterns, move our boys beds downstairs where it was only 88, as opposed to even hotter upstairs, buy batteries for the flashlights...you get the idea.
So I missed most of my challenge...I'm so bummed! I'm so sorry to those of you who were asking questions and I wasn't here to answer them, and I'm so thankful to Darcy, who looks like she picked up the slack in my unexplained absence. I haven't even had a chance to read back over this thread because I wanted to take the first opportunity to explain. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful work, and I'm so bummed I couldn't join in the fun, but had to stress and sweat it out here. Thanks to all who did/are participating and all who helped me out without even knowing why I didn't "show up!"
Love,
Linn (linny6)
Even though it's late and I've got to transfer my boys from their makeshift downstairs beds to upstairs, I had to take a look at the first pages posted...fabulous job everyone! Thanks so much for sharing. I'll check in first thing in the morning with you all!
Here is my page. I had to do a page for the 3rd cat because I did pages for the other 2 - you know how they can get so jealous Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I know the feeling! Don't you wish SU! had INSTANT DELIVERY sometimes?! They could make a fortune off us!
I originally set out to do a page for the lilo and stitch challenge this morning since I didn't have much time to do any other challenge and I read this theme and switched. Actually Last night was a horrible night, we just got news of our friends child's passing at 8 years due to a heart condition. He was on a waiting list for a transplant and he had a stroke. SO the terms of Endearment theme came into my mind and I decided to do a page of our baby when she was born and I stitched the heart in memory of our little friend and used words that we call our little girl. They are all over on the page but we mostly call her little princess and baby girl.. I know she will have a complex one day but oh well.
I didn't have much time but this is what I managed to pull together and the journalling reads:
You look so little on that scale my baby girl. The nurses said you were a big girl but you were so tiny in mommy and daddys arms. From the moment you came out you were our special little princess. I saved the clamp from your umbilical cord so you could have a memory of a time we were connected in utero and now we have eachother in the flesh. Love Mommy
..Oh yeah there are little saying that you might not be able to read that say:
a new little person
gentle: mild in nature
tender: gentle, kind, affectionate, young, delicate, pure, delightful
sweet bundle of joy
I plan on doing the rest of the challenges later just for fun when I have more time. MY Sunday was just a bad day but at least I got this last one in.
