The Olympic motto is CitiusAltiusFortius, which is Latin for "faster, higher, stronger." The intended meaning is that one's focus should be on bettering one's achievements, rather than on coming in first. Using the Olympic motto, my challenge is for you to scrap something that shows ones achievements. It could be participating in a sports tournament, a celebration of ones success in any aspect of life, like receiving an award or bettering yourself or showing someone else bettering them self in some way. As an added twist I would also like to you incorporate the five colors of the Olympic rings into your challenge, (red, blue, green, black, yellow) in any way that you choose. Journaling is a must, I want to know about the important achievements or striving to achieve on your pages. I will be in my chat thread should you have any questions.
great challenge. I have the perfect pictures for this one. A couple of my girlfriends and I did a 60km walk for Breast Cancer, so that is what I will use. However, I have to run away for awhile (nap time, for me) my lovely neighbours decided to have a screaming match at 4:30 this morning , so I'm a little pooped right now. I will be back and finish the challenges later.
Tell him to stop, some things are just more important. Seriously though, it is a stressful time as they can't do much but want to do everything, KWIM?
I know it. Poor little guy! He sometimes wakes up from his nap SUPER grumpy (usually only when we wake him up....). DH is now playing dinosaurs with him, so he's much better. For about 10 mintues, he was throwing everything in his room and in some other rooms (we finally put a stop to that, especially when he wandered in my scrap room!).

wonderful.....DS is now throwing one of his lovely 2 year old tantrums....
DD has been throwing toddler tantrums a lot lately, too!! She's only 18 1/2 months and hit her 2 y.o. stage of tantrums a few months ago. She used to love to shop, now I can't get her to ride in the cart, walk, or let me carry her. She pulls my hair and head-butts me. Or, she tries to climb out of the cart and screams, even if she's strapped in. Or, she won't walk and throws herself down on the floor. Kicking, screaming, and everything! I can't win even if she's just had a 2 hour nap. She's started to be in a better mood in the last couple weeks, but not sure it will last. I hope it does.
So, I feel for you, Betsy.

WOW! Our DS isn't THAT physical with us! But, he refuses to sit in a stroller or grocery cart anymore. He has to walk with us. It's not toooo bad, but he doesn't necessarily stay right by us either!
My DS will be 3 in March, and he just started this "2" stage pretty recently! We could still get him to do what we needed, but now he is demanding WAY more control!

Wowzers, so sorry to hear she is testing you this way...don't give in, it'll get better! ;)

Life is truly a cirlce, because you will make it through the two's and then you will have some lovely years and then they will be preteen and then teen. They are at least smaller when they are two and three than my 6 foot 15 year old and my perpetually cranky pre-teen.
When she head-butts, I stick my chin out, so she'll stop. Works better for DH. His chin must be harder than mine. If I have to carry her and she starts beating me up, I actually carry her on my side, with her facing out or down, so she's parallel with the floor. Got to do something to hurry up and get out of where we are! She did do better the other day in the store. I mystery shop, so she does make it more challenging to do what I need to do. I try to do more dinner shops, because she's usually happy when she's eating.
Also, even though her tantrums are very trying, she's at such a cute stage. She says plenty of words, but she still babbles. She puts her hands on her hips and smiles at us. Or, she stands on one foot, with the other foot on top of that one. She's a doll, even though she can be pure mean, she can also be the sweetest little thing in the world.
