Lela - I love your page, made me re-think my sketch, of course don't know how I will ever get a page done, if I stay upstairs on the puter chatting with you all!!
Laugh! I know, I'm doin' the same....just had to run for the dryer also... I HATE to iron so I had to get those clothes out and hung up!

Oh ho fun! I'll have to try and play along later tonight. My mom is on her way over and my sis will follow after she gets the baby to bed and the three of us are going to go out for a drink. Not something that ever happens when mom is here visiting so it'll be nice.

I'm a "hair up and off my face, no rings, no music, no food near me" kinda scrapper... tmi??? tee hee
Been to Church today... So tonight, I am Hair done, make up on, watch off, (to much pressure to seek a peek), ring always on (hasn't been off only twice in 23 years, first time with first DS... second time with 5th DS), changed clothes into comfy cottons and warm hoody, and away we go with James Taylor for now... Dinner? Well... they are on their own tonight.... But, I do smell grilled cheese cookin'. Maybe if I'm lucky they will bring me one?..
Where o where can my baby be.....

BUZZZZZZ
Is there a buzzer? Feels like I'm on Family Feud and should slam down that big button to signal FIRST PAGE DONE!!!! Will post later but for now: sets used: Bronc Buster for the whispy dust (for coffee steam), It's About Time (cause I always tend to use that one!), and All in a Row (cause I'm all about stamping on my printed paper and this set does just enough so as not to overpower the print)....
And you all should know how HARD IT IS FOR ME TO USE SKETCHES...seriously, I'm inept. I never do make-and-takes EVER NEVER EVER, I never use sketches EVER MAYBE RARELY EVER, and the whole scraplifting stresses the heckolla out of me because how can I ever reproduce the gorgeousness on the page?!?!?! EEK....so...yay, me...I did it. Phew! :-D
O.K. Done with my page..........now what?
BTW
I have on cotton crop pants, my favorite Croc flip-flops (I have that plantar's fasciatius {sp?} so I can never go without shoes). Hair in ball cap because it is naaaaasty. Rings on, coke on table, America's Next Top Model on the tube. Chicken cookin' on the stove gettin' ready for dinner.

Favourite Adhesive?
So.... what's your favourite way of sticking your artwork together?!
I have loved my CM tape runner for nigh on 8 years now...and the poor dear has finally given up the ghost. SO...I bought a Herma tape runner, which was obviously designed by a man because the thing is honkin' big and I can't hold it right...and I'm not dainty flower, neither... so...tell me whatcha use... and why...and where you buy it...and the ballpark pricing (in US is fine!)... thanks!

My favorite, hands down, is the CM taperunner. I've tried SU and I hate it. Everything seems to fall apart. And the newest taperunner is the best; it's so easy to work with.

Darn! on the Upload...:( YAAAA! on the new challenge...
Oh my god, I FINALLY DID IT, I USED A SSK. What you mean they aren't for hoarding??? I am still in shock.
And you know what - it was so easy to do!
I even did a two page spread with some minor stamping. Ok Ok, so I started out as a CM customer, so everything has to be perfect and lined up. Then I became an SU demo, and loved the projects and cards, but the scrapping thing has been tough, but I did it!!
I FEEL FREE - or is that because these size D's are braless??
hehe, by the way, hair up in a ponytail, sweats on, and no rings!

Our FIRST miniVSBN is here!
We'll follow most of the same rules as the "REAL" VSBN.
- 2 hour time limit for each page/pages (honor system)
- Upload your layouts to SBC08jan1, SBC08jan2, SBC08jan3
- It's ok if you want to upload l/o's w/ your picts not included or covered. We recognize that some sisters prefer not to put picts online but we want you to feel included!!
- You have until Thursday, January 31 to upload your CHALLENGE pages.
SO, let's get started!!
Challenge #1 -SBC08jan1
Did you know that we have in our Scrappin' Challenge Group our VERY OWN sketch Designer? Yup, it's Sally (Salster)! Each Friday she uploads some GREAT sketches to the Scrapbook Sketch Challenge Thread! I thought it would be a GREAT way for us to get our miniVSBN kicked off by having the opportunity to use one of Sally's sketches. You will find them all HERE.
CHALLENGE #1 -- Pick a Sketch from the Gallery Attached. Upload to SBC08jan1! Bonus Points for using Stamps in your Layout. Use them for your titles, embellishments or adding to your background.
MOST OF ALL, HAVE FUN!
Here's my sample:
Lela, I really like how you lined the photos down the left side...looks so clean...when I do it...it just...doesn't look so wonderfully organized!!! GOOD JOB!

Shows the sketch too. It's very simple, but it is going to make a great gift to my mom and dad. I've been wondering what to do with the photo's I have of just them together. I'll see how that book evolves.

Lyn, if you're uploading the next challenge do I still start on the first one??
I've just made the kids pancakes for breakfast, told them to clean their rooms, teeth etc & then they can play xbox 'til I'm done here. Does that make me a bad mother?????
And for the voyeuristic amoungst us (Kristin!!), I've just had a shower & washed my hair, so will put it up when it's dry and I'm in cargos and an old T and leave my jewellery on! I don't eat & drink while I scrap 'cos I will ALWAYS manage to knock it over my work!!

Awwww. You are so sweet!. My mom and dad have so many pictures in frames that there are pictures in Boxes (Yikes) with frames around them. In fact we are re-decorating the back bathroom with all these photos that are framed in boxes. It has all this empty space.
My mom wants a scrapbook so badly. I'll work on some pages so she will have something to look at while she is re-couping from her surgery.
My parents really are just Priceless people. I am so pleased with this page.

Uhhh, I cheated. If you look real close, I lined it up on cardstock backing! WAY easier than trying to align on the page
