I did that - I asked my mom for the pics so I could scan them and put them up on our family website for all to share. I told her I'd put them in photo albums for her. Trouble is, five years later, I still have them. :rolleyes: Most ARE on the website, but I haven't put them in the blasted albums yet. I'm sure YOU'll be better at that than me, Anavon.

Are you to scrap them all and give them back to her??? Or just put them in albums??

I'm hesitant to tell you how I actually got my hands on mine. But I'll share anyway - the one's I have use to belong to my Nanna. When she passed away, sheesh, 10 years ago now, all of us Grandkids got our photos - just seemed the logical thing to do as we're all grown up and moved on and our parents already have the originals.
So based on that, I'm thinking scanning and even scamming to get copies from your parents is the best way to go !!!!!! :-D
ok, got my diet coke. checked out your finished pgs. looking good. I spent all day Friday scanning and printing pics. still I only had this one baby pic. I did get a lot of family pics from my mom last year that I scanned and sent back to her. She was nervous about sending them through the mail. funny she keeps them all jumbled in boxes, go figure.

Well ladies - I am truly, TRULY, sorry to do this - I have to bail. I'm sure most of you know by now I've been sick all weekend. Could not have been worse with the timing. Anyhoo, DH is now sick with it, I am almost better, but not quite, it's now 1am here in Australia and unfortunately, I really do need to get some sleep.
I hope you all enjoy my challenge and the rest of the challenges coming today. I can see that you've all been having fun this weekend without me - Good for you I say - LOL!!!!!
I'm looking forward to catching up on the rest of the challenges during the week and I can't wait to see our "best of" lists!!!!!

Phases and stages right? Especially with the film cameras back then. It's soooo much easier to snap pics now.....

I actually have a TON of baby photos, was such a cute ham of a child! I just took one of my baby albums from my mother's house.
Side note: These albums are just pictures taped on paper pages. They are tearing now. What are your thoughts about saving/keeping the albums? My mom just wrote on the pages cute little things under most/some of the photos. My first thought it is cut out those things to save her writing. I could have her write it all over again lol she has the same penmanship lol

Tell your mom that she doesn't have to do it.....she can take them to a photo development place and have them done for her....then she can mail you the CD or DVD and you can have all the pics to print you want!!!!

To explain all that to her would just blow her away.... and she is not that old! She is just not a computer geek/techie person. She still believes that "nothing good" comes from the computer... She does not have one in her house and probably never will. If that tells you anything... My siblings and I have tried to explain it to her, but nothing works. When she is at my Sister's, she has her pull up my blog so that she can see what I have been doing, but that is all. She never hardly ever touches a computer. If she needs some genealogy found then I do it, if she wants a recipe then my other Sister does it and we send it to her. She is so afraid that she might get the wrong stuff (porn.... etc....etc....) to come up that she won't touch one herself. She uses the one at her work, (FOR WORK!) and that is all.

Oh no, not scrap them, just put them in albums. They need to be accessible but archived. Some of the photos are very, very old. I do have at least those protected.

Thanks for all the direction in this challenge, it helps me out alot! The more directions, the quicker and easier scrapping is for me. I always need more than just a sketch.
My mom had all mine too....it's just been these past couple of years that I've gotten most of them from here.....with the promise of course that I will scan them so there will be more than one copy ;)
And now I have witnesses , here, to that...my sweet heart daughter ;)
