Zva Creative Self Adhesive Crystals and Mini Sweet Blossoms
I've never used the above items so I'm hoping you can help me. As far as the Zva Creative Self Adhesive Crystals designs, can you use each crystal independently of the whole design? I need 280 black self-adhesive crystals and I'm having a hard time finding them all in one size in a package. I'm also trying to find a place that sells them and the 3/8" white mini sweet blossoms also by Zva Creative so I can combine shipping.
FYI, I'm doing 70 tuxedo wedding favor boxes similar to the one posted at SCS by Sharon Johnson (notimetostamp). The crystals are for buttons and the roses for the lapel.
You can use each crystal alone, you just need to cut the adhesive apart. I haven't had great luck with this, because it leaves little "wings" of adhesive that I have a hard time getting rid of. Good luck!
I appreciate your responses. Do you ladies know where I can find some teeny tiny black pearls or rhinestones? All the pearls and/or rhinestones I see come in the spiral with graduated sizes. I need about 280 of the tiniest size. I found a website (Hope Stamps Eternal) which carried the self-adhesive crystal lines by Zva Creative, as well as 1/4" sweet rose buds and/or 3/8" sweet blossoms. I'm thinking the rosebuds might look nice on the lapel of the tuxes.
It's easy to use each crystal individually, but you do need to clip close to each side of the crystal/pearl to remove the adhesive wings. I also have hotfix crystals and have NEVER had good luck getting them attached with the heat tool - and resorted to using glue to get them to stick (which sort of defeats the purpose). Zva does sell tiny half pearls that has no adhesive on them.
I just use a very sharp craft knife to cut the adhesive off each side of the pearl/crystal while it's still on the plastic. When I peel it off, the 'wings' stay stuck to the plastic, leaving just adhesive on the back of the individual pearl.
Don't know if this is helpful or not but I just got a package of black and white flat-back pearls from Michael's yesterday. Of each color, there are 36 "teeny tiny" ones, 24 slightly larger ones, and 16 bigger ones. The brand on these is Recollections, and I think I paid $1.99 for the package.

You might want to use QK quicker picker poker to apply them too as they can be a real pain especially when you are mass producing.
Also known as a QuickStik in case you're not familiar--it's a clear plastic tool w/green "putty" in one end that is tacky and it sticks to small objects so you can place them where you need them.
