Default YIKES!!!! My printer broke!

I can't believe this! A few weeks before Christmas and a gear broke in my printer!
I need a new one so I thought suggestions should be taken. I have a HP C5180 and it has worked for years and years wonderfully. I do a lot of cardstock printing so I need one that I can adjust or will adjust automatically for weight. Hoping someone has a suggestion for me. I don't know about any of the new ones since this one has lasted soooooo long. Suggestions are very welcome! TIA

Been there....I picked up an Epson XP-410 inkjet at Staples. It was on sale recently for under $60.00 and the inks are reasonable. It was the only printer that had a "flow through" tray system and prints on Staples 110lb. cardstock with no problem.

Funny you should say that. I was looking at them today. Being that it is the holiday season I don't want to drop a couple hundred on a printer. These are right in my price range and that it takes 110 lb card stock is a plus! Thanks for your input.

I have a Canon Pixma that I really like. It has the outside paper tray, so it does well with cardstock. The paper goes through without having to wind around a roller.

I got mine at Walmart for about $60. It is an all in one, and scans and copies also which is nice.

I have the Canon Pixma too. I like the price of their carts. I love epson, but it always goes to which is the most reasonable to maintain ink. Just saying. Good luck with your search. On the weekends, most stores like Staples, best buy, etc, have Product people in their stores, meaning they have a person from Canon or Epson and they know all about their products. I think you'll be happy which ever you chose as they are all very good printers now, even the cheapies are much better quality then they've ever been.

Good Luck.
