Default Wobble Springs

Ok I've just seen a few darling cards using those wobble spring things and I'm wondering where you get them. I know some of the online stores have them but I don't need anything else right now...does anyone know if the big craft stores carry them? If so, where are located in the store....thanks..

I have an alternate idea if no one has an idea of where to find what you are looking for. I have taken very thin wire I already have and wound it around a pencil and then used that under die cuts on the inside of a card. HTH

I do something similar, but I punch two circles (about 1/2" to 5/8" or so), pierce a hole in each one and thread the ends of my coiled wire through, so that the coiled spring is in between the two circles.

You might be able to use springs from ball point pens--if you stretch them out they become a bit more wobbly----like Sabrina's idea with the circles and the wobbly.

Simon says stamp has 50 springs for i think 20US dollars considering art impressions sells like 12 for 20 AU (here that is) its like loads cheaper!!! they were normal sized not the minis...One other idea for homemade but involves a die set called popcessories by stampendous they have a die that cuts the paper into a spiral which you can use comes with lots of other dies and is super cute! was maybe 10 US approx...but i think it could be quite few years old so maybe hard to find!

You are welcome! Why spend $$ when you have other unused supplies that can do the job if you think outside of the box, right ;)

I've used a thin piece of acetate folded into a tiny little accordion to make pop-up elements wobble.

Blitsy and Art Impressions which makes them have them in both sizes and it is free shipping over $30.00 at both sites.

I always use home made wobbled!! I cut 2 circles from heavy white CS (Recollections 110)Wrap wire around a pencil 3 times. Stretch it out a little. Cut excess. Hot glue to circles!
Voila!!!

Default Wobblers of All Sizes

I do a combination of Stampin Stacy's and Cook22's idea. I coil wire around a stylus (pencil, pen, fat marker, etc. - thickness depending on how large I want the wobbler to be) and then glue or tape it between two punched circles (size of circles also depending on the size I want the wobbler to be). I think I like Cook22's idea of threading the ends of the wire through the punched circles better than glueing or taping them down inside the circles. Wobblers are pricey, but super cheap if you make your own and they are easy to make. You can find tutorials on YouTube.

The comment about acetate jarred my memory of a wobble I made...making it pliable by heating it with a craft heater. I wound the acetate around a pencil. The craft heater was on the edge of the table facing out & I'd wave the acetate slowly in front of the heater, working it into a spiral. It's tedious, but it worked.

I've also manipulated acetate this way for the box cards. It was attached to the back of butterflies so they appeared to be fluttering in the air.
