Default Wizard and SU Sizzix Dies

I was wondering if anyone has come up with a recipe to use the SU Sizzix dies that have creases (like the pillow box) in the Wizard Die Cutting machine. I have a Wizard and I tired the pillow box die but it wanted to cut instead of crease. I ended up giving my die away. There are other dies that make boxes etc that I would like to buy if I knew that they would work.

Did you check the sticky at the top of this forum? It has the "recipes" on how to use the various dies in the different machines.

Hope that helps!

Using those dies in the Wizard is not the easiest thing in the world to do, but it can be done. What you will need is to replace the universal cutting mat used for steel ruled dies with a piece of self healing cutting mat. I have an Olfa mat that works for this.

The cutting mat is just a bit thinner than the universal mat plus it has some "give" to it. Try building your sandwich with the mat, paper and then the die and run it through. If you still get cut lines, try that same sandwich, but upside down. I know that sounds like it shouldn't make any difference, but it sometimes does.

Good luck.

Thank you Cathy C! I will have to investigate a self healing cutting mat. I think my upline has the pillow box die that I gave away so I can borrow hers to test it. Thanks!
