Someone asked this very same question a while ago on another thread. One lady suggested that you put the pen in your mouth and suck..try not to put your tongue on the nib! Funny thing...this little trick worked for me!!!..Yeah I know..go figure! I thought why not... I am going to toss these pains in the neck anyway so I took a chance and tried not to poison myself (no ink comes out the nib) LOL 4 out of 5 are working again. Now for how long I have no idea but right now...perfect.

I too refer the gel pen by Ranger. I have had better luck with it than any of the others.

Mrs Noofy, that was the thread I was trying to find again! I'd seen that and didn't need the info at the time. I remembered something about sucking on the pen but not the full details. Thanks for your reply. I'll give this a try since so far nothing else has worked. I didn't try the hot water yet, though, so it might do the trick. Think I'll still buy a Ranger pen to try.

Don't remember now where I read to dip/soak the point in ammonia. It's worked a couple of times for me but not always. My Mom carries balky pens in her pocket for awhile and the warmth is often enough to get them flowing again. I've taken them apart and blown into the tube to force the ink through but that doesn't always work either.

I'm no scientist or anything, but I suggest CAUTION with dipping the point in ammonia and then using the sucking method! LOL (I know...I know.....)

Wink white jel pens

A little while ago somewhere out there I read to keep your pens from drying out----when you are using the pens keep the top of the pen in your other hand & as soon as you are done put the cap back on right away. I've been doing this & have had no trouble since then. Another tip was to keep your white pens in the frig when not in use. Joan

Has anyone had trouble with the clear spica glitter pen like this? I'm on my third one from the LSS. They thought they got a bad batch, but the newest one still doesn't work properly. I've had no trouble with the other colors, just the clear....

I had to throw mine out. I bought it at a stamp show, and it never worked. There was hardly any glitter to it.

Make sure to store your Spica pens FLAT and NOT vertically-the pens will clog if you do. I love my Spicas and haven't had any problems.

Mine worked when i first got it... now it's stopped. The other colors I got I had no problem with (and i stored them standing up not flat). As for white gel... I got an Inkssentials, never used it and it doesn't work at all!! SU white gel is the only one i've had success with. Wish that wasn't so as I hate to not be able to go into JoAnns or other stores and buy a white gel pen without having to pay shipping.

I have had my Signo white gel pen from SU for almost 2 years. It is almost gone but still works every time I pick it up to use. I love it and have already bought another one. It has been worth every penny I paid for it.

This is the same reply I wrote when people were sharing ideas about how to un-stick punches that are stuck: If these were products men used, these problems would not even exist. So, get with it, inventive, creative, problem-solving women!! These are issues that need to be solved from the ground up, not the other way around, if you see what I mean. Good point! That's why I would say spring for the $3 and buy a Signo gel pen from SU. They actually work and keep working!

The Sakura Souffle white gel pen is the best I've ever used, and I've tried them all.

I use the Sakura white gel pen, and have been happy with it. If you don't use it for an extended period, you sometimes have to "scribble" with it for a minute to get it flowing again.

The Uni-ball Signo Broad UM-153 beats all other white ink pens hands down. Here is where I got mine: http://www.jetpens.com/product_info....roducts_id/380

You can find them with the gel pens in Michael's, Joann's, and A.C. Moore. Jet Pens also has them in the 2-pack here: http://www.jetpens.com/product_info....oducts_id/1893 I have the Sharpie poster paint pen, and it does work very well; but the tip is a lot wider.
Yes, our team is doing well - still battling for first place.

My favorite is also the Signo pen. It's the best white & I haven't had one clog up on me yet. They are by far the smoothest. They write over several surfaces. I got mine several years ago, so I don't have a source for buying them. JIL

I've used the white out correction pen for highlights when I found all my white pens were not working. I'm always on a search for the perfect white pen, and the perfect purse. Eileen

Even the "perfect" white pen will fail if not stored properly -- I was always told to keep this type of pen stored nib-down so that the leftover ink in the tip couldn't dry up and create a plug.

That said, my personal fave is the Uni-Ball Signo that's offered in the Stampin' Up! catalog. Never had a problem, and the ink is the most opaque out of all the different brands I've tried!

I've found the Uniball Signo um153 will quit half way through it's ink supply. I like the pen when it's working, but it bugs me to pay $4 from SU and end up throwing half away because it quits on me and I can't get it to start up, no matter what I try. That price JetPens has for them is fantastic, $2.25, anyone know what the shipping charges are?

I've used the Signo from SU and been left with two half-full pens that wouldn't write no matter what I tried! I like the Ranger white Inkssentials pen. It's pretty consistent and I seem to have the least problems with clogging than the other pens I've tried.

Default white uni-ball Signo pens

Where in the world can you buy in a box???
I read a while back that either Staples or Office Depot carried them but for the life of me, I can't find them on line :(

I haven't seen them in stores either....maybe you could special order. Last time I bought one it was 3 or 4 dollars online, don't remember where.

That's what I'm trying to do. One of those stores has them in a box of 12, I believe, but it wont come up in my search of the stores.

You sure you want a WHOLE box? I thought highly of these pens until the last two I bought...hardly used them at all and now they won't write. I sure didn't get my $3 worth of use out of them! I would hate to invest in awhole box of these pens!

There's a local Japanese stationery (or is it stationary, I can't remember!) store that sells these pens. I know Stampin' Up used to sell them too, along with my local stamp & scrap stores.
