I was wondering - does anyone use this ink by itself? When I see it used in the catty, it always has white embossing powder used with it... is that because it doesn't show too well or it smears, or ... whatever?
I'm getting the new? snowman set in the current catty (where you stamp all his parts and put him together) and I was going to make him out of patterned paper, so I need the white to show.
The white craft ink is opaque(ish), it will show up on coloured and patterned paper.
HOWEVER, the image can be very subtle. If you want your snowman to stan out, it's probably best to emboss him with white detail powder as well. If you look at this card in my gallery, you will see I did some circles on the bottom half of my card with white craft ink. Hopefully this will give you a better idea of what to expect.
I like using it on Kraft paper...flourishes look good done in it...then add colour for flowers or whatever other images you want. It also looks good used with a background stamp on lighter cs if you want a hint of texture.

And maybe, if I had taken my time and gotten a better photo of it, it would've shown up better in the pic! LOL
Anyway, I'd say if you're stamping him onto PP, then embossing is probably a good idea, just to help him stand out better. Other than a situation like you described, I think WW craft is opaque enough to stand on its own. HTH
I use mine all the time! I don't even have the white embossing power, so obviously I don't think it's necessary for the white to look nice. I also use the vanilla frequently, but not as much as the white. (probably my most used pad after black)
