Default Where to get less expensive circle punches?

I'd like to get all the sizes that SU carries in the catalog but would prefer to find them cheaper. Does anyone know who the maker is on SU's brand? I want to make sure I get the same size so I can use them with my Riveting set. But I also don't want to spend over $35 in punches so I can use my "free" stamp set! ;-)

I believe they are EK Success and I saved a bundle (compared to SU) and purchased them weekly with my coupons from ACMoore, Michael's and/or JoAnn's. They work great!

For Riveting I use the EK Success punches, 1 1/8" punches it out exactly and the 1 1/4" gives a nice border. I need to get the smaller ones for the middle, I think 5/8" is the right size for the center. HTH I get mine at Hobby Lobby with the 40% coupon or when punches go 50% off

Oh mine are the "nesting" punches, they are black with red printing on them.

I sure couldn't find them any where else. So I bought them at SU. I have loved them. They are the best ones so far. For all I use them for they are worth it to me.
On a side note, I wouldn't go through EK for your punches. Frantastic Stamper has them for less than EK. I love her quick service. I always go to her first for everything.

I think they are an SU exclusive... at least for now. I happily shelled out the $28 and use them all the time! They also fit perfectly in the Hodgepodge Hardware.

SU has teamed with EK Success and has many more "SU exclusive" punches. I am pretty sure the ovals are in that category.

I'm pretty sure those are exclusive to SU.

As for the OP, I also buy my circle/square punches from Hobby Lobby when they go on sale 50% off. I have the black/red punches that Laura mentioned. They are the same style as SU.

At first I thought SU's oval punches were a little overpriced - but I still got them and LOVE them - and like others said they are a SU exclusive item (at least I haven't seen ANY oval punches that are the same - either by EK Success or any other company) so who knows if they will *ever* be available anywhere else??

Ok...I went searching for EK Success Punches and none are the exact same size as the size listed in the SU catalog. So which sizes will work with Riveting?

I bought the Whale brand ones and use 1 1/4 for the small one and 1 3/8 for the one that is just a bit bigger.

Thanks everyone! I just ordered myself 3 punches from Joann's...they weren't a whole lot cheaper but with the free shipping and the difference in the few dollars per punch...I probably saved about $10.

I also went over to the Oriental Trading Company and bought me some embellishment cases and a bunch of different colored mini brads. Unfortunately, I didn't order enough to get free shipping and I couldn't find any discount codes.

Guess this'll teach my dh he better buy me a Christmas present next year!

I started out scrapbooking, so already had the large double square punch of Creative Memories', it was $20 and makes a perfect circle to cut out Riveting (with a small border) and a perfect mat punched out with the larger circle. The main drawback, however, is you can't place it anywhere you want on a card, it doesn't reach very far! It works fine for just punching out the set separately!

I hear ya about that edit button, I was wondering what happened to it. I too have all the CM punches and the only other thing I detest is that they are extremely hard to punch. I had to buy that amada punch buddy to help out. Other than that I guess they are okay. The SU punches don't go very far either. HTH

Sommething like this? i guess you mean the smaller of the scalloped punches (pink). This oval punch, for me, measures 2" long by 1-1/4". I also found the in-between sizes for the circle punches as the SU ones were either too big or too small for some of the images I wanted to punch. Service is great and goods are packed with tlc for shipping.
