There are a couple of sizes out there. The ones at Office Depot and Staples are bigger, sizewise, weightwise, and costwise than the ones that are sold at WalMart. I prefer the WalMart ones, 15 for 97 cents, not only for price but also for the size and weight.
I looked at two Wal-Marts, couldn't find anything in either one. I went to Staples and found a package of 10 for $2.97. They are gold tone, 4" long and fairly heavy.
I tried my local Staples and Walmart and they do not have them...if I put a search in just the regular office kinds are coming up not the 4" ones....are they called anything different?

I tried that, too, when I was on the lookout for them (before I found them at WalMart) , and couldn't figure out what keyword to use. I only got the bigger than usual regular paperclips.
I don't know if the WalMart ones are online but they are Mainstays Office Jumbo Paper Clips and they are 3.5". In Anchorage they are $1.08 for 15 clips.
I also got mine at Wal-Mart and at mine they were with the office supplies, like stickers, label makers, etc. And they were on the "shelf" below the items that are hanging. They are hard to see unless you know they are there. They are in a black plastic box with a clear lid and the label covers most of the lid. So look very closely for them.
I bought mine at Walmart too...but did get some at one of our Canadian dollar stores...Dollarama....they had a pack of 8 gold ones for a buck...they are bigger than the walmart silver mainstay ones. So any of you Canadians, go check out the Dollaramas ;)
I got 4 inch heavy gold metal 5 for $1.49 at Office Max.

Yeah I got these too, and the silver ones at Office Max. I might have to check out what the ones are like at WalMart. My friend bought hers at WalMart and said that they are a little smaller than the ones I got.

Sorry don't know the size since I am at work, but I got a box of 12 (I think) at Wal-mart for $1.99. They are silver and are the jumbo clips, but don't know the exact size, but if you have jumbo clips.. those would work. Good luck.. they are so fun to make.
Anyone know where to find the jumbo paper clips that so many people have been decorating lately? I wanted to make some for a few quick gifts, but would need them soon, anyone know of a place (like an office supply store)? Thanks!!
darnitall.....I've checked 2 walmarts so far and can't find em. you girls cleaned em out!! I need em to do some for a Relay for Life fundraiser next Sunday and only have 2 pkgs. and 2 of the ginormous ones from Staples
What on earth do you think these stores think when strange objects all of a sudden start being bought by the armful...when they never sold em hardly at all before???

I love those giant paperclips to make bookmarks with. I was wondering if anyone knows where you can get those paperclips. I would really appreciate any feedback.

I've gotten them at WalMart and Office Max. The ones at Office Max are a little larger - over 4" I think. Hope you can find some--they are so much fun to make.
