I am wondering where to find the cute charms I've seen on some cards. I am thinking that the charms you put on bracelets would be too heavy and expensive. I tried looking in the jewelry department at JoAnns and saw a few but most seemed bigger than I envisioned.
generally, you can find them where they sell beads and the makings for jewelry -- they are dirt cheap too. I know that Michaels and AC Moore has them in their bead/jewelry section.

The best charms I have found are at Hobby Lobby..They have some very tiny ones like hearts and crosses etc. and they are 50% off alot of the time,,in the jewelry section
A lot of craft stores and antique stores. I love picking up vintage paper, cards, charms, ribbons, lace, etc. at an antique store. Many are priced well too.
Making Memories has cute ones in the scrapbook aisles at most craft stores. Jewelry charms work if they are relatively flat. Love to add charms to cards!

Oh my goodness...I should not have looked...It seems that there are a lot of new charms coming to live with me. I also added them as a favorite seller... no hope for me....blessings.
There is a wholesaler that sells cheap costume jewelry, You can seperate the bracelets for example and just keep the charms. Thats what I did. I have tons of charms. I just tossed out the other stuff I didnt want.
Can go wrong with the price. They always have new stuff in stock so check it often.
got to http://www.buckwholesale.com
I find a lot of the stuff I use at thrift stores and the dollar store (jewellery section). Lately I got a slide bracelet from the dollar store with 10 sewing related charms on it! It is going to work perfectly for some ATCs I am making.
I wish our Michael's carried cute stuff like that in the wedding isle. I found "thank you" charms there one time. When I went back to get more they weren't even carrying those. They have expanded the beading section, so I can find some there now, but not like what I hear other people talk about at their stores.
I was looking through my bookmarks for something & forgot that I had this website there for charms, this one looks good, I guess that's why I saved it. Hope this helps. Here is the link:
I've found charms for my cards in the jewelry sections of Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I also found some great charms at a little needlearts shop. I think they were originally for embellishments on cross stitch or something like that.
Goals for 2015 50 scrapbook pages/50 cards---progress 35/50 cards Complete my daughter's wedding scrapbook album Spend more time enjoying my friends and not so much time obsessing on work!!!
You have to spend $120 before they ship express otherwise it will be shipped regular mail. You just pay the shipping listed in the auction. $4.99 for the first then $2.99 for each additional auction. Even with shipping, you can't beat $6 or $7 total for 50 or 60 charms
For a good charm substitute for cards I like to use the confetti they sell in packets at party stores and Michaels. I dangled them, glued them on and you get hundreds for a small amount esp if you get them after the "holiday" they were used for. I have Thanksgiving, graduation, birthday and more.

I would also look through the jewelry drawer. I found some great stuff in there that I no longer wear. Just a few snips with pliers and voila that old earring is now a perfect card charm.
Also root through the cheap jewelry at yard sales etc. You can get great finds for next to nothing. I also am a big fan of all the dollar stores. Sometimes you can get inexpensive jewelry that you can pull apart.
Be creative and save some money at the same time. Happy hunting...

I like going to http://www.fancifulsinc.com/
because they have just about ANY type of charm you are looking for...
You can buy as little or as many as you need. I bought about 150 of one design for my wedding invitations and 200 of another design for programs. You can look up charms in the search box, look by page or theme. It also helps if you have to make, let's say, birthday invitations... where you'll probably need 20+ of the same charm design. Good luck!
