I just got my first order of SU stamping. I was wondering what kind of scissor I should use to cut the extra off. I didn't have to money to buy the scissor in the catalog. Thank you for your help. Ginger
I love the SU scissors, but I also have a pair of Fiskars scissors that I really like too. They have blades about 2 inches long, with very pointy and sharp ends that allow me to get in the tight areas around the image.
Okay, I have cut out over 400 sets of SU stamp sets in the last 2 years. Here's what I use: Fiskars Teflon Coated FULL size scissors for the larger images and the short ones for the smaller images. The "sticky" stuff rubs off, and you don't have the scissors hanging up on the rubber.
I use alcohol to clean the sticky stuff off my sissors - also alcohol takes ink off your fingers. The SU rubber cutting sissors are worth the extra cost.

I thought it was a lot of $ for the craft and rubber scisors too untill they came in my startup kit . I love them . They cut the rubber perfectly. I can't believe I used to put my stamps together without them.

I TOTALLY agree! I thought it was a waste of money, after all scissors are scissors right? I was wrong, I LOVE mine!
I bought a pair of craft scissors for about $10 and then recieved my kit with the SU scissors. There is absolutely no comparison. Now at my stamp camps I bring both to let everyone try mine. They are worth the dollars.
I never wanted to fork over the dough for the ones from the catalog and now that I did, I'll never go back. They cut so smoothly and I don't get blisters anymore. I save my stamps up for a big cutting party during a good tv show or football game (it's the only time I watch) and I used to get blisters. I did use a fiskars scissors with teflon and it has really short blades that trimmed excellently from my locally stamping store previously and they worked, but not great. Some demos loan out a scissors to first time buyers.
I absolutely love my SU scissors (also got them in my demo starter kit). I noticed several saying they clean them with alcohol. (maybe on the check out this thread post). I tried alcohol, but had a hard time getting them really clean with that. I found this stuff at one of the dollar stores..... it's a cleaner called "Awesome" and it is. I just pour a little bit on the blades, wipe with a paper towel....takes every bit of sticky off with very little effort.

before I bought the SU ones I just used the cheap ones from K-Mart. They didn't cut as well but still worked and I absolutely love Goo Gone to clean the blades. Also, good for taking sticky labels off a new dish or whatever. Buy it at Wal Mart.
Good luck and have fun with your new "toys".
I know it seems like a lot of money but the SU scissors are totally worth it. I mounted a ton of stamps and I broke the non-SU stamps in the middle. When I broke down and bought the SU ones I could not beleive the difference. I even went back and remounted some of the sets with jagged edges on them. 'Good luck
